Abram grumbled as he marched through the streets of Avaren. He hated big cities, if not because of the immense crowd, than because it was a combination of the varied castes and wealth, two things that he immensely disliked. The people all seemed to be crowded around something as well, something that made Abram begin to realize that it was special to see so many people around.
Marching through the people, he heard a great, booming voice above the rest. "Therefore! It is only right that all of you are rewarded! So from twenty days hence, you are all invited up to the castle for the grandest feast this land has yet to see!" The people cried out in happiness, and the sound waves rippled above their heads. Abram was even more excited now to find the root of the crowd, whatever it was. A feast at the castle? Who but the King could dare to give such an invitation?
Abram marched even faster now. It angered some people in the streets, but most were too happy at the news of a feast to care. At last, however, he banged head on into someone. And that someone was familiar. "Oh! Camilla!" He said, trying to be loud enough so that she could hear him over the noise. "Have you been here long? I'm afraid I missed whatever just happened - what's going on about a feast?"

"Were your parents warriors?" she asked curiously, her eyes glistening with curiousity. Riley looked at her and took a breath. "Yes, they were. My father was a hero in the country they both originated from. He died or was lost in the last battle, but some months later he came back to my mother unharmed. My mother was in the little Army he lead, an experienced archer too".

She smiled. "I dream to become a decent archer..." she said smiling. "I believe my father told me that my mother was a skilled archer herself."

He nodded and smiled.
"If you want, I can help you? My parents made sure I was well enough to defend myself or anyone".

She thought about vik, who had been offering to train her, but she didn't trust him at all. She trusted Riley...
"If you wouldn't mind..." she said smiling, I'm good with a sword but its not my choice weapon."

Riley nodded and smiled.
"Plus I can teach you what my mother taught me. Had to shoot your foe accurately even though you can not see them. I think because of that, she ceases to amaze my father, plus I think you'd enjoy it because it would mean I'd have to run from you everything you have a bow", he said with a light laugh.

"Hmmm, that sounds like fun..." she said with a grin. She looked around once again, her eyes changing as they usual did. She rolled her shoulder back, the sleeve of her dress sliding down alittle to reveal a series of black designs on her arm.

Riley nodded and then noticed the designs on her arm. He was intrigued by them and studied them alittle closely, but kept his distance. He looked to Guinevere and asked kindly.
"May I ask what they represent?"

"The represent the honor and respect I carry for my family..." she said turning to him, her red hair falling onto her shoulders.

"But why may I ask do they seem so familar to me. I can only think of the Isle of Avalon when I see those designs my Lady".

Here, she didn't know what to say. She contemplated his words for a few minutes before letting her own flow from her lips.
"Why do they make you think of Avalon?" she asked curiously.

Riley looked around to make sure no one could hear them.
"Because my mother once bore a mark she claimed to be given to her in strength by the goddess. She told me that I would know the markings by heart for they will resenble the signs of nature".

She didn't speak of what she knew or might know. She simply said, her voice soft and gentle; "And just what are you thinking?"

"That you are from the blood of pendragon, protected by the goddess known to Avalon".
He breathed deeply, hoping that his own thoughts would not offend her in anyway.
