David held Avean close. He kissed her on her head. He closed his eyes for a little bit and let out a sigh. "Avean." he started, "You know you can trust me. I'd never meant to hurt you. I'll listen to what you have to say. I'm here for you. So don't try to push me away." He continued to hold her close as her head was against his chest.

Avean closed her eyes tightly and sighed deeply.
"I killed a man." she said, holding her tone.
Avean wanted to cry but held it in, knowing she was strong enough now.

David didn't say anything for a moment. He continued to hold her close. He had to think about how to respond to this. So many thoughts ran through his mind. One of them was that she had grown definitely stronger. "You have grown stronger." he said to Avean, "So why did you kill this man?"

"He-" she choaked, her eyes still closed shut. Avean didn't want to talk about it but if he wanted to know she should tell him.
She wondered why it was soo hard.

David noticed that she was having trouble speaking. He took his hand and lifted her chin. "You can tell me." he told her as he gazed in her eyes. "I am not here to hurt you. So please speek so it may eaze your mind." He put his hand down and held her close once more.

Avean opened her eyes and gazed into his.
"We were fighting...he almost sliced my arm off with his god forsaken sword so I hit him with a spell. I didn't know if he was 'okay' so when I went over to check..." she began, getting quite choaked up with remembering the situation.

David sighed and nodded. He allowed her to bury her face in his shoulder. He held her close as it seemed that she didn't want to speak anymore. It was okay for that though, he got what had happened. He ran his hand up and down her back. "It's alright." he said with comforting words, "So what did you do with the body?"

"I burned it.." she mumbled through his shoulder, her voice led from crying.
Avean laid her hand on his shoulder and closed her eyes, almost tighter than before.

"Well, it's good that you didn't leave a trace." David told her knowing that wasn't the words that he should be saying. He continued to hold her and look at the sky. He turned his gaze back on her. "These things happen. Sometimes people die because of accidents. It's understandable."

David sighed. He didn't know what else to tell her. He didn't want to treat her like the the little girl she had been treated like. He didn't pay close enough attention to her last time and almost lost her because of that. He held her close and ran his hand up and down her back.

Avean gave him a big hug and grinned, knowing everything would be alright. No one would ever find out so she would just forget it.

He hugged her and smiled. "And you're like the sister that I never had Avean." he replied. He held her close. He would keep this a secret from everyone. He wouldn't tell any one, so that Avean wouldn't be in trouble. Only him, God, and Avean would ever know about this.
