The set-up of Kaldaka's house was quite simple. You walked into a comfortable living room, with a piano, a couch, a small table on which she mostly ate her meals, and bookcases. Bookcases, bookcases, bookcases. She absolutely loved her books, and read them almost constantly when she was home. On the right was an open archway into a simple kitchen, with an icebox, a wood-burning stove, a sink, and a door to the pantry. On the back wall was the door into the bathroom, which held an entrance to her bedroom. Her bedroom was beautiful but simply decorated in green and white. A desk, a bed, a dresser and a closet were around the rooms, and pictures adorned the walls. A beautifully done vase on her desk held white flowers, jasmines, lilies in the valley and white roses.
Her 'office' also had a door to it from the living room, and was mostly just a relaxing place to be herself. The door to it was hidden, so when she was in there nobody could find her. She kept all of her most important papers in here. In the back was a small garden, with all of her favorite flowers in it. A small stream runs through it and forms a small pond at the end before rushing out again, and it is there that you'll find Kaldaka most often.

Kaldaka relaxed by the pond, a book in her hand. Her eyes stared at flowers, but didn't see them. She still felt odd about several things.

David approached her house. He stopped and looked around. He then continued towards the front door. He planned to have dinner with her tonite if it wasn't a bad time. He knocked on the door and began leaning back and forth waiting for her to answer.

Kaldaka dropped her book in her chair as she got up upon hearing the knock on the door. Walking to the door, she opened it and smiled at him. "Have you come for dinner?" she said.

David bowed to her and came back up with a smile. "As a matter of fact, I did." he replied. He entered her house and looked around. He liked it's design and structure. It wasn't as lavishing as the mansions, but the simplesity of it made it seem better.

Kaldaka watched as he glanced around her house, smiling proudly. "I had an idea you might come today," she said as she bustled into the kitchen. "So I started dinner about half an hour ago, and it's almost ready now. Do you like salad, turkey with gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes? Then for dessert there's apple pie and pumpkin pie."

David's stomache growled after she named all the food that was for dinner. He smiled out of embaressment and looked at Kaldaka. "Yes, I do like those foods." he replied, "Though, I don't really care for salad. And I find that pie would be a great desert." He continued to look around her house. He examined and skimmed the titles of the many books that she possessed. He found this amazing. He had been in the castle's library and this seemed to be about a fourth of it. "So I take it that you like to read."

Kaldaka grinned as she came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron. "Hmm, let's see. One, two, three, four, five, six bookcases! And I've read almost all of those books. Then of course, there's the two bookcases in my bedroom for books I haven't read. Once I finish a book from those bookcases I move it in here and take one from here that I haven't read yet." She stopped and blushed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept rambling on. But yes, I do enjoy reading. Books are some of my best friends." A slight shadow crossed her face for a moment, and she turned back into the kitchen.

David smiled as she spoke. He didn't mind her reambling on. He followed her into the kitchen. "It's okay that rambled on." he told Kaldaka, "I prefer smart women over an ignorent one. It shows that you take what you do seriously. That it isn't a joke or something less to you. It shows your passion."

Kaldaka turned and flashed him a brilliant smile. "I do take what I do seriously. Probably too seriously sometimes." Pulling the turkey out of the oven, she slid in the pies and quickly pulled out several things before darting out into the living room again and setting the table while she continued to talk, indicating a small plague above the front door that read 'Buiadh no Bas!' "That is our clan war-cry. We are the Dunedain, the Men (and Women) of the West. It translates to 'Victory or Death!' It's quite appropriate for my family."

"I see." David replied simply. He smelt the aroma of the food as it filled the house. It smelt great. He saw her take out the turkey and put the pies in the oven. He knew a warrior needed food, but was this much necessary. He didn't mind this, it was her choice of what she was cooking. "It smells great."

Kaldaka blushed slightly. "Thank you. I like cooking a lot. This is an abnormally large dinner, but after all, we just came from a training bout! Warriors need lots of food to keep up their strength, and besides, if there's any left over it can always be fed to the chickens."

"That's true." David replied as he continued to look around. He went over to one of the bookcases and started reading off titles to himself. He saw one that looked interesting and the title wasn't readible. He opened the pages and started skimming through it.

Kaldaka finished up setting the table and bringing the food out, then walked over to where David was standing. "Ah, the book with the unintelligible title!" she said, haphazarding a guess. Yes, she was right. "That book- it's an old book of spells from one of the mages in my family- got dropped in a puddle years ago. The odd thing is, though the mage said he wasn't trying to save it, only the book's title touched the puddle. When he retrieved it, the title was gone. It had been 'Of Witchcraft and Wizardry,' names for mages that were used a while ago."

"Ah, I see." David replied as he closed the book and put it back on the shelf. "That would explain why I can't read it." He chuckled and smiled at her. He sniffed the air and smelt the food. "So is dinner ready?" he asked.
