Alexandra rubbed her eyes, whispering a curse. It was late, VERY late. She yawned, looking about the deserted library. Seemed no one else but her was foolish enough to stay up so late reading old and moldy texts! But she had to read, study, learn...

Nathaniel yawned openly, dropping the book in his hands with a thump onto the table top infront of him. He had nearly had enough, in his quiet corner. He could even hardly keep the candles floating..

OOC: Tis fine ^^
Alexandra yawned, taking her empty cup and going to find a servant in the halls to bring her more tea. It was late, but there was always servants about. Going to the door she caught the sight of flickering candles in another corner. Was she not alone?

One by one, he snuffed the candles out, until only one was left in the moving shadows of the library's dusty darkness. That candle shone to light his way, as he carfully held five or so thick volumes in his arms. He shook a dark errand of hair out of his eyes, whishing he had left more candles alite. and such were the darkness, he bumped into someone.

Alexandra had given her mug to a passing servant, and given the order to have it filled with strong black tea. As she returned to her seat she rubbed and eyes, and yawned. Someone bumped into her, jostling her. She squeaked, startled not only because of the thought that she had been alone, but her over tired mind as well. She fell to the ground with a soft thump and cry.

Nathaniel immediately dropped the books he was holding, and bent low. "I beg your pardon miss!" he held out a hand. "My fault. I wasn't looking. So sorry." it was dark. Thank god, he blushed too much. "Are you alright?"

Alexandra looked up, blushing also, and scowling because of it. She bit back a snappy response, and placed her hand in his offered one as she stood. "Quite fine." She whispered, even though it was NOT! She pushed a curl of red behind her ear. "Though I did think I was the only one here this late." Her eyes flicked over the man, and she made a decison. "Alexandra Fay." She said, offering a hand.

"So did I," he agreed. He took the hand. "Nathaniel." Then the scooped the books up again into his arms. "Were you studying also?"

Alexandra nodded. "Yes, I don't seem to be grasping the text magic, and I find it easier to study at night, more calm." She smiled, watching him.

He noddded too as if in agreement. But night wasn't the reason of calm he had chosen for it. But he didn't voice that aloud. He relit the candle which had gone out in his little bump in the night. It lit some shadows on his features. "Are you off to more studying then?" he asked.

"I was getting more tea." Alexandra answered. "I find it chill in the stone." She looked up and around them at the massive stone library.

He layed his books on a near by table becuase their weight was starting to ache his arms. "Well...I don't really know my real interest as yet. I study a bit of everything I suppose...which ofcourse results in I not being very good at any of it," he laughed shortly. "Illusions, I think. Mostly. I find it fascinationg." he paused, and lookd at her. "Et toi?"
