Sweat was breaking over Alezand's brow. He worked furiously, faster and faster. He had to keep the initiative. He won't have much to block if he kept Maril on his guard.

Alezand spun, kicking high and swinging low. twirling his blade. He stopped and blocked a strong blow and countered the next.

Drawing up and then down again, Alezand continued to strike hard and fast. His opponent was strong, and each blow of the mace required so fortitude to with stand. Alezand pressed on.

Sen whatched the on going battle with intrest.
"Mace vs. sword with the right speed and power both of them could go down..."She said whatching strike after strike.

Maril defended well with the mace. The weapon was a good source of defence against the sword. He brought down a few more blows from the top and finally decided to try a blow from the side, hoping he would finally break through the fine skill of Alezand.

Kaldaka watched interestedly as two people fought, one using a sword and the other a mace. She herself didn't use the mace, since it was too bulky for an assassin to carry, her ultimate goal. She could handle a longsword, but her favorite was the fencing sword, and her favorite weapon of them all was a long stick that looked like an ordinary staff except for the fact that it was sheathed with a black metal and had sockets at either end, in one of which was inserted a fairly short knife.

Spinning out of the range of the mace, Jozlyn slid down to one knee, swinging at Maril's feet. Spinning again, Jozlyn swung a a following sweep kick before rising back to his feet.
