Holding On (Anyone)

Evee was begining to give up all hope of seeing her beloved Maril again. She felt as if he had abandoned her. In times like these, only one solution is sure to help resolve this conflict, "prayer." Evee woke up early saturday morning and went to the church at a time she knew no one would be there and went inside. She wore a hat that hid her face and a dress that showed all of her beautiful curves.

Walking down the isle of the church, she stared straight at the alter where she would kneel and pray. Once she made it there, she stared up at the statue of Jesus and found her gracious spirit. She got on her knees and rested her arms on the cushioned surface that was in front of her, built for prayer. She bowed her head and closed her eyes, putting her hands up in the praying position. She began praying in her head....

'Dear god, I know that I am no longer a single woman, but I have remained pure. My mate has been gone a long time and I am not sure when he'll return. I am deeply confused and saddened lord, I have lost my way...Please, help me through this and show me what path I am to take now. Amen....'

Finishing her prayer, she opened her eyes and sighed. She stood up and went to sit in the front pew and think for a few moments, taking in the holy beauty of the church.

It was nice, seeing others deep in prayr. These thoughts raced through Tash's mind as she silently watched the girl from one of the more shadowed seats. The girl had a sad aura around her...almost that of a confused aire. What had happened to make her so? Tash wondered.

Without a word, Tash rose, and strode next to the girl. If the woman had been watching, she would have seen the warm smile that Tash had given her; Like she said before, it was nice to see those that prayed. Tash knelt on one kne, and placed one hand gently to her forehead in prayr. She did not know this girl..but she would pray for her. No one deserved to be sad.

M'lord who art in heaven, whos teachings I hath followed. Thou art aware of thy woman who prayest beside me. With all mine heart, please, I ask of thou, see to it that her prays art not ignored. Amen.

Tash felt the girl get up and leave towards the seats, but she stayed where she was.

OOC: Sorry it's so short, I'm stressed out right now in my life.

Evee watched the woman pray and she wondered what she might've prayed for. There couldn't possibly be anyone more sad than her right now. She felt like Maril had abandoned her and didn't know when he was coming back, she had finally found love but, it left her. Evee sat there in the pews thinking about the possible reasons why Maril had been gone so long.

Tash stood, her dirty-blonde pony-tail swaying behind her like a snake. As the girl pondered, Tash came quietly to sit by her. Whether she had noticed her or not, Tash was silent for a time before letting her presence be known.

"The heart is a wonderous thing, m'lady. 'Tis the organ in which thou can accept love." Tash had no idea what was on Evee's mind, however. "But thine face looks troubed. That means thine heart be troubed as well. Praytell...what irks you so, M'lady?" Tash said softly, her caring nature showing evidently in her words.

Evee let the woman's kind words sink into her mind and soul, they seemed so comforting in a time of hoplessness. " Someone very dear to me left Avaren and never returned...His name was Maril Mazmo." Evee said sadly. She got sad at even remembereing the day he left. She didn't know what to do anymore, to move on, wait, or do nothing. This was a personal problem of course, but at least someone was there to talk to about the whole thing. Evee really started to have "love" feelings for Maril, then he left her. As well as the other Mazmo family members which just made more questions rise.

"As the old saying goes..." Tash began, a small ruefull smile on her young features, " 'tis better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all." She looked at the other girl appologetically, as if saying 'I know it's corny, sorry..'

"Thou must not extinguish thine hope, M'lady." Tash said seriously. "Though I am young and have not experienced such things as love...I do know it hath a funny way of returning, no matter how far you think it was thrown." She said, patting Eeve on the shoulder comfortingly.

Evee took in her comforting words then smiled slightly when she got a pat on her shoulders. "I just miss him so much, it hurts..." she said looking down to the ground at the wine red carpet. "What if he never comes back? Then what should I do? Just forget about him?" Evee was utterly confused. She just wanted Maril to come back to her, she'd run to him with open arms.
