Guinevere rode forward, making sure Akin kept slow. She had no family and had no one she was attached to. She simply had her self and Akin, her mothers horse. She looked forward, her eyes focusing into the night.

"Tell me of yourself, young one. You have trained as a warrior, yes? How so?"
He cast a glance upward at the seated girl.

She hated being called 'young one'. "Do me one, small favor? Either call me Guinevere or nothing at all..." she said flatly. "I am to continue my training but I did train some with a friend of my until I was 19... I trained in the art of the sword though I prefer a bow or crossbow."

"The bow is a fine weapon. To strike from safety, to destroy ones foes while not risking harm to yourself. A true way to fight. Of course, to strike without letting your foe see your face, that is its true value. There is value in anonymity."

"And those are the very reasons I prefer the bow..." she said softly. To anyone, it was hard to see what a beauty like herself would see in fighting. She should be in some great manor, drssed in the finest clothes, waiting for a husband. Not on a battlefield, among the men who would court her.

"But the sword, my dear. The sword is the weapon of champions. To feel the warm life of your opponent spill out over your hands, to feel their utter defeat just before you is the true mark of victory. Don't forget that."

"You sound like my father..." she said, her eyes focused on the path ahead of her.

"Perhaps your father and I are alike, we are both men of war, men of honor."
Viktor kept his eyes forward. Who was her father? Had he met him in combat five years ago?

"Perhaps..." she said simply, her eyes looking straight foward.

"Was he a leader? A general? Or did he fight on the front lines?"

"A General..." she said, proud of her father. The moonlight shown down upon her fair skin, making her look more mysterious than she ever had.

"Vaperatus...Viperatus...yes, I thought I knew that name. Genreal Viperatus, the commander of the east defense. A cunning strategist. A worthy warrior. By any chance, did he ever mention a Commander Sieg Magnus?"
Viktor raised his brow in thought, awaiting his answer.

"Once... I was very young so I don't remember what he spoke about, only the name." she said, pushing back her long red hair. Soon, she would change her hair to black, like her mothers.

"He was the Mercenary Front Commander, and a friend of mine at one point. A fierce warrior, full of passion."
Viktor placed a hand on his chin.
"I've never figured out where he went after that war.."
