Riley made his way through the cemetary, remembering what his father told him of remembering those that gave their own lives defending their home and freedom. He was in search of his father's old friend Diego.
Diego had served under his father as a archer and had died 7 years after the last war of his home had ended. Diego was the man to give him his first wooden bow with little arrows to play with. Riley was 6 when he died and it was a heartbreak for him. Diego was almost like a second father to him, but he still missed him.
Riley thought back to when he knew Diego, smiling when he used to teach him how to hit his father's weak spots. Him and Diego had fun. Riley soon smiled to himself as he found Diego's grave, placing that wooden bow set on his grave.
"Thank you Diego, you started me on my destined path, You are always missed".
He slowly made his way to the other graves, looking upon the names of those who gave their lives.

Riley continued to walk until he came upon and young woman who was staring at a grave stone. He assumed it was a loved one. He turned slightly and spoke in a soft tone as to not scare her.
"The death of a loved one can still be harsh, even after we tell ourselves we've moved on".

She heard a voice. Avean turned and nodded. "We all can say we have moved on but the scar of loss will always be there." she said, laying her hand on the area of where the heart lies and looking back to the tombstone.

"Ah, but it is also in our hearts lie their memory and soul of life. Its because of that reason the dead never truely leave us, not as long as they lived".
He smiled to the girl and extended his hand, bowing his head.
"Please forgive my own manners. I speak so openly and you do not know my name. I am Riley Lambert".

Riley smiled and lightly chuckled.
"I am no more wiser then you Avean. I'm merely 18 and learned as much as I could".

Avean looked up from her bow and chuckled also. "Well then we have much in common, for I am 19 and learned as much as I could...actually I am still learning." She pushed her long hair out of her face, being a burden as it was.

Riley nodded and smiled alittle more.
"Life is always a lesson we shall always learn, so we are always still learning until we die as the wisest".
