The sun brightly shone apon the vast fields were Adelaide hid. She laid on the tall grass and let the breeze gently calm her as she read the text of some book her father had given her. She held it in the air infront of her face, the rest of her body was sprawled out on the ground.
Her light hair was tangled with the grass and she seemed rather ungroomed. The skirt she had on looked a bit worn, for it was her favorite and she wore it almost everyday and her shirt had a tare in it from when she jumped out of a tree earlier that morning. Adelaide didn't mind at all though, it was just part of her personality.
After finishing a chapter in the book she sat up in the grass and began pulling her fingers through her lighthair. She placed the closed book on her side then closed her eyes for a bit, soaking up the light.
From behind her she could hear someone coming closer. One thing about her was that she had amazing senses. She would let the person come closer before acknowladging them. "Hello there," She spoke calmly.

Abram rejoiced as he wandered through the fields of farmland. His dark brown hair shimmered in the sunlight, and he almost laughed. It was a unique experience for him, entering the cultivated land outside the city halls. It was the domain of the bourgeois, the middle class, the farmers. A land he had hardly ever seen in all the years of his life, spent reading in his own personal library in his Father's household.
He wore a brown, worn, beaten mage's robe, purposely giving off an aesthetic look; for under his robes was a beautiful purple garb, glistened with red, and all the other colors of the rich. He couldn't help it - the robe was the only average wear he had, and he wanted to seem average as he walked among average people.
He didn't even know where he was going, when he heard someone from the tall grass speaking. "Hello there." It said to him, and he jumped. Looking over, he saw a rather ungroomed, rustic looking woman sprawled in the grass. He was confused as to whether she dressed like that like him, or whether she simply wore that because she was one of the farmers. But suddenly he realized -
'Why am I wondering who this random girl is?'
"...Hi." He responded slowly, in a nervous fashion.

"You seem to be in a delightful mood, sir." She turned and looked at him. It was no one special, but she didn't let the disappointing feeling show on her face. She pushed her hair behind her shoulders and smiled at the stranger. Adelaide was incredibly outgoing, so she stood up to greet the man.
She took a long look at him, squinting her eyes and tilting her head either way. Another thing about her was her curiosity. She was surprised that it hadn't already effected her life with all the daring things that she had done. She pushed thoughts of passed adventures out of her mind and spoke to the man in front of her.
"You don't look very familiar." She said truthfully. Usually she had some inkling of who people were because she always traveled between the city and the rural areas around it. "Are you from around here?" She quirked an eyebrow. Already she could read his emotions.

'You seem to be in a delightful mood, sir.' She was obviously being sarcastic. Abram could've smacked himself - meeting people was never good for him. He either tried to stay as reclusive as possible or intrude on their conversations, and either way he got them offended. But before he could actually chastise himself, she actually came up to greet him.
She spoke of his unfamiliarity, and where he came from. This made Abram laugh, but it was lighthearted. He laughed because that was exactly what Abram knew - or hoped - she would ask. "No, I'm not from around here. I'm a student up at the Academy of Magic, and I'm just taking a walk around the farmland. I've never seen much of it in my life."

Her eyebrows rose in wonder. How could someone not get to the farmlands? It was probably one of her favorite places to be. She smirked a little when he laughed and placed a hand on her hip. "You're really missing out." She said. "It's a rather splendid place at times."
Then there was silence for a while and a very dramatic wind blew around the field. Adelaide examined the stranger up and down. She looked at his cloths, which seemed rather bulky and thought there was probably something under his visible garments. "So..." She said, her curiosity now getting the better of her. "Who are you then?" She said with a tilted head.

Saphira laughed a carefree sort of laugh. A mask. All a mask. Nathaniel tossed his raven head and went on galloping in his smooth gait. The wind flew past her head, lifting her hair around her face and she held tight to the silver reins, her body bent low and streamlined. They came to a canter than an easy trot towards to figures in the near distance. A few minutes later, Saphira drew Nathaniel up beside the stranges.
