Through the Gates

[David Augustine]

He was walking towards the gates of the city of Averan. He had been here before when he was a little boy, but that was a long time ago and when his father was still with him. He approached the gates with his ruck sack. He had his spear on his back and his sword at his side. They weren't the fanciest of weapons, but they were what he prefered. This were the weapons that he had gotten used to.

Once he had gotten through the gates, he looked around. His brown hair was a bit untidy and his blue eyes glowed quietly. This was David Augustine, son of the great Jonathan Augustine. He noticed that not much has changed since the last time he was here. He only wondered if he would recieve a warm welcome or not.

[Rurouni Kenshin]

Kenshin was walking around.He looked around. This was the frist time here. His eyes spoted someone one walking.Then walked over to them.
"Hello." he said witha smile on his face.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

A rider apeeared beside him, on a beautiful white stallion. The rider wore a black cloak, the hood pulled down to keep their identity a mystery. As the rider looked over towards him, all that could be seen was a pair of emeral green eyes.

Upon examining this figure, you would noticed a sword at its side and a cross bow on its back. The figure did not seem friendly nor deadly, but simply rode beside him as he walked towards the gates of Avaren.

ooc: That was some of my worst writing... maybe its because I just woke up.

"Greetings." he told the stranger that spoke to him, "Are you a resident of this city?"

He turned his head and froze at what he saw. This was the first time he noticed the rider of the stallion next to him. He saw that she was decently armed and decided not to make any quick judgements about her. His gaze was still fixed her, but especially on her emerald eyes. His gaze was that of a warrior that was noble and true. His eyes were filled with righteousness and the codes of chivalry.

He turned back to the greeter. "What is your name, good sir?" he asked him. Even though this was a peasant that he was talking too, he still showed respect towards those that were lower than him.

ooc: That's okay, don't worry about it.

"My name is Kenshin. And i have never been here before." He said having one his hand on his sword. He looked at the person on the stallion then looked back at the man.
"And what is your name sir?" he asked moving his hand from the sword and placed it to his side.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

The rider lowered its hood, revealing a young lady of twenty. She had long dar hair in contrast to her emerald green eyes. She wore a dress of emerald green silk. She kept her eyes focused straight ahead. She rested one hand upon the jeweled handle of her sword, silently turning to the two strangers beside her.

"Might I inquire names from both of you?" she asked, her voice soft but feirce.

[David Augustine]

"I am David Augustine." he replied to the lady's question, "The son of Sir Jonathan Augustine, Captain of the Crimson Brigade during the Crusades."

He turned to look upon her once more and studied her. Even though she was wearing a dress, something that he thought warriors shouldn't wear. He was given the impression that she was of some noblity. "And may I ask your name, my lady?" David asked her with a slight bow.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"Lady Guinevere Viperatus... Daughter of Lady Cassandra and Lord Viperatus." she said softly, her eyes darkening as she spoke.

[David Augustine]

David stood there and thought. He knew not of the Viperatus family. He did notice the tone of her voice as it darkend. He stood up straight and examined her again. He could tell that she was lovely lady, but didn't dwell upon that.

"You spoke those names as if some trouble is amongst that." he replied to her, "Something foul or evil as if it were. Is there something about it that you wish to tell?"

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"No... my father was a general who died several months ago and my mother died giving birth." she said, her tone softening. She had been riding al night and was rather tired.

[David Augustine]

"I see, and my condolences to your parents. I am sorry for their deaths. I did not know them." he told her.

He turned and looked around, seeing if he could find any directions. He needed a place to stay for a little while. He needed to speak of someone of importance. He turned and looked at Guinevere again. He saw that she had a tired expression about her face.

"Is there a place that I may stay at to rest? and I don't mean to be rude but it looks like you could use some sleep as well. I'll walk you to were it is you are going." he told her.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

She looked over at him, smiling lightly.

"Well, if you are a warrior, there is always the barricks. For me, their is my parents home, Viperatus Manor..." she said gesturing to beautiful white home just alittle ways away.

[David Augustine]

"I see. I will stop by there before the day is out." he said out loud.

David then grabbed the riens of her horse and started guiding them towards her home. As he walked he wondered if his father had left a house for him to stay here. He was unsure of it, but he had to ask an official of some sort about it. He has been to the barricks before, but only with his father when he went to recruit members of his squad. When they reached gate of Viperatus Manor, turned and faced Guinevere.

"Here is your place, my lady." David told her, "I must depart and take care of some business. I might see you later, but farewell for now." He then turned and started on his way towards the the barricks.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

She gave a nod then dismounted from Akin, walking him slowly through the gates of her home. "Good boy Akin..." she whispered softly before disapeering.
