Kaldaka drew her cloak tighter about her as she watched the splashes widening in circles. Circles like the circles of violence, she thought to herself sadly, and to her surprise she realized she believed it. Did she really want to continue the circles of violence?

Saphira noted the subtle movement of the other girl. She noticed these details. She had been trained to. The other girl was feeling insecure. She too, watched the ripples as they grew bigger and bigger and bigger, the faded, the slim waves of water sliding into and back, forming as if they did not exist, under the clear suface of the water.... Gone. Empires come and go....they all will fall... Saphira turned to the Kaldaka, wanting to ask more about her past, but changed her mind, and raised her inde fingers. Muttering, she brough two elegant silver strands of water, spiralling out of the lake.

Kaldaka caught her breath and watched in delight as the two spirals of water twisted out of the water. "They're so beautiful," she breathed softly, her gaze fixed on the water.

Saphira started to direct the water into seperate, even more thinner but ever so elegant strands of sparkling water, it flew threw the air and twisted, spiralling, slowly resembling a thiin dragon and phoenix that entwined around a single slim, long sword that was similar to a rapier. The water continued to flow in strands around this image. Saphira held it. 'Family crest." she said quietly, "My brother-" she nearly paused, but went on. She had never confided like this to anyone. Needless to say a near stranger. "He always thought I should be an elementallist master. We both found it...quite unchallenging. Quick to master." She made the image higher, and the water around its base turned gracefully. "But I don't know. Elements don't honestly interest me very much."

Kaldaka sat down, drawing her cloak up around her as she placed her chin on her knees, with her arm hugging her legs. "Why don't they interest you?" she said quietly. "If you find out why they don't interest you, you will know so much more about yourself."

Saphira snorted in mock laughter. It was bitter and devoid of happiness. "Elements." She aburptly let her hands drop and the water crest fell back into the lake. "ITs not really an art. Manipulating the elements. THat was not really, I was simply Levitating the elements, not conjuring. But I find that once you delge into the arts of the elements you lose other talents...talents which I would rather keep."

"Than why did you even consider the path of an Elementalist?" Kaldaka continued, trying to make Saphira probe herself, truly think about what she wanted.

Saphira stiffend and thought quickly. It was a harmless questiong surely... even though she had been trained to be suspicious, even though her past had made her cold, inside, she was just a young, lonely girl, wanting to trust... "Well. I didn't consider it as such...I suspose I did. Well. It was easy, you see, and I could have passed quickly and rose to the top. But then, when something is easy to achieve the method is more important." She laughed. "I like challenges. And I like a branch of magic that suits me...thats why I'm thinking of Summoning, an art that my Brother,..well. But Neuromancing is more my thing."

"Necromancing is more your thing? Then do it," Kaldaka said with a shrug before rolling over and lying back up on the ground. "Then do it." She smiled, a sweet, grave smile. "I myself have taken a path that few approve of, but I felt a need for it. It was my choice, and it remains my choice still."

Saphira smiled uncertainly. "I'm still not sure. All this evil sort of thing. I'm not even sure its my nature." she laughed. "I should stop doubting myself."

Kaldaka smiled, a tinge of sadness in it. "I have found that to doubt yourself is to doubt the world, and to doubt the world can lead to ruin. And I know many things, for a Traveller does. I am Traveller, i-Eionior*, i-Neth**." She smiled sweetly and gravely. "I am many things, and I have traveled the world for longer than most people my age." *the Elder **the young

"Oh." she didn't know what else to say. "I've travelled. Only once." she left it from there.

Kaldaka shrugged. "To travel is my life. I have travelled for many years now, and I will continue for many more most likely." Turning away, she looked at the water. "So what is your real ambition to become?"

Saphira shrugged and stared far into the depths of the lake waters. "I'm not really sure. To become great I suppose, riches I already have..." she blushed very slightly..."Inheritance. Well. I want to be powerful, famous....a person of real importance." She wanted to be admired. To be known for who she was. To Be who she was without deceptions. But she did not voice these thoughts.

Kaldaka smiled slightly. "Ah, our ambitions are so seperate. I wish to- well, suffice to say that my goal is completely different than yours. And that could be good or bad, depending on the person."
