Persephone had always loved the water. Watching it flow and dance in currents that were lurking in the deep depths. She had always loved the feel of the water, cold or warm, on the softness of her skin. And she had missed the wild beauty since she had came to live in the city.
So when the small Apprentice had found out about a wonderful lake, she had headed out at once. Joy had flushed the paleness of her cheeks, and she had smiled and laughed gleefully at the thought of seeing the water.
As she drew closer she couldn't wait to jump in and take a swim, but then she remembered that the air was too cold and the idea of swimming wasn't the best. Instead she sat on the bank of the Lake smiling into the water and swirling her hands around in it.
She wondered if any one else would be coming to admire such serenity of the lake.
