The sun's light barely peaked off the horizon as it began to raise in the sky. To start off the day Adelaide decided to get her chores done, for she wanted to go into the city in the afternoon. She liked to get things done with, so the sooner everything was done the better.
Already she had made tea and breakfast for her family before she left. Now she headed toward the lake with a wicker basket at her hip filled with dirty cloths. After she finished she would basically have the whole day for free time. It would probably be spent in the library or mingling around the town square.
Her blonde locks were tied behind her head, and she pulled the white skirt she was wearing under her legs as she kneeled next to the lake. She put the cloths in the water and started to scrub them against the rocks near the surface.
The trickling of water went simotamiusly with the early morning chirping of the birds. Soon she found herself humming a melody in tune with her surroundings. She enjoyed her time out here and slowed down her progress in order to soak in some fresh air.

Saphira often rode by the river. In fact, she often rode everywhere, in search of a quite place, preferablly dark and shadowy and uninhabited. But today, of all days, she was in a good mood, and took this ride completely at leisure. She cantered lazily on Nathaniel around the Lake edge, just splashing the waters.
