As she and Alezand dove into the dance Adrienne let him guide her. Soon she found herself lost in the dance and music. Adrienne felt so alive and her soul shined with the same smile that appeaerd on Alezand's face. Her eyes became locked with his . She danced her heart and ears on the music but her mind and eyes where on Alezand. Unparrallelled happiness flowed through her.

"No I just lost my footing for the sake of it, what do you think? Can you please place my feet on the ground?" Enelya heard her own voice it sounded so rude, she should have been greatful to this young man for catching her.

Ah yes, so this was what it felt like. Alezand forgotten what it was like to be happy. to enjoy anothers company. He had been so alone these past years after the war that he didn't even notice it. It was just his everyday feeling. And yet now, his eyes and his heart had been opened up as to the emtiness that had stiffly clutched him. The danger and uncertainty of the past years made it impossible to stay close to anyone. Even Tyanno, Alezands closest friend of the time had to go a seperate path, leaving their friendship behind, being too dangerous for them to stay together. And until recently, that was the way things were. But now, Alezand found refuge here in avaren, Tyanno returned, and then there was this women dancing with him tonight. Pretty, sweet, quiet, and simply effecting this typhoon of contentment, joy and easiness upon him. His soul was being cleansed of all the hardship, loss, pain and even fear that had consumed the hero. Yes, he had even feared. At times for others, of the future, and at times, even himself. It had hardened him into a quiet, brooding and some what dark fellow. And yet it took a kind girl whom he didn't even know to wash all that away. Amazing. Amazing was the feeling. Amazing was what this girl must be to do such a simple and yet powerful thing. And Alezand came to understand another thing. Adrienne represented, right here and now, everything that Alezand swore to fight for and to protect. Honor, joy, life, and love. His life, despite its stuggle, was essentialy centered around these simple thimgs that yet had been denied of him and his friends. His mind flashed and reeled at the realization of this and he came to an idea. But it was a question of what if. He continued in his trance as they danced...

Adrienne suddenly felt overcome by a feeling she'd never had before. She'd been alone most of her life except for her family she didn't have many friends. So this is what if felt like to have someone to care about you. Her mind began to trail off into many possiblities of what might happy. She snapped herself back when she thought of an intresting question. "Alezand I have a question do you..um..have anyone special..like a wife or lady you have devoted yourself to?" she asked

Alezand grinned slyly, "Well, no, why do you ask?" he inquired. This definately didn't cross his mind of things to happen tonight. But it certainly was a pleasant predicament. And to think he was just going ask her if she wanted to join him and Tyanno and become a partner to get to know her better. But since she beat the punch, whats the use of fighting it. Besides, Alezand liked women who took charge. She was very pretty, sweet and gave a hint of being modestly intelligent. And she could dance!Overall, She was very attractive "What did you have in mind?"

Adrienne blushed and said "Well you see Alezand I have no men after me currently and was wondering if I could get to know you more."

"whatever you wish, m'lady..." Alezand answered, turning to watch the various people celebrating. "Shall we go to a more quiet place to talk?", gesturing to one of the tables in the far corner. Walking over, Alezand pulled out a seat for Adrienne, before sitting down himself. It was darker here, lit with a single candle. It was still in clear view of the festivities, but was far enough out of earshot. "So, what would you like to know first m'dear?"

Alezand sat back a moment, his mind working. His past was sad, dark, somewhat hard to explain. Oh well, "I hail from lands far north of here. I am the heir to a legacy almost forgotten. Once, there were powerful men and women whom swore to protect all those unable to defend themselves, uphold the peace and keep balance in the land. They had powers beyond that of the common warrior or mage. heightened reflexs, precognition, and limited telekinnetic powers, even mastery of healing. They were all but wiped out by a darkness and evil that to this day has no name. I am charged with restoring and leading that lost order that called themselves the Allaine." Alezand let the words take weight in her mind before continuing on. "My life has been one of running, hiding, fighting and survival. I am the last hope of the Order. Many evil men would want me dead, and the light I bring to the future. I am taking any and all who wish to aid me, and thus to become the first of the new Order. My mission also extends to wiping this good land clean of evil, from the darkest villians to the lowest of thieves. I am the assasin of all that threaten the common citzen. " He watched her face to see the reaction of his story. It was very deep and scary for one to swallow. But he wanted to be honest with her.

Adrienne had listened intently to the story. She was deeply moved and she knew at that moment that she wanted to help him. She looked at him with resolve in her eyes. "Alezand your story has touched me and I hae decided that I would like to help you in your quest. I am aware of the dangers but I want to help."

"If that is your wish, then so be it. I am pleased to welcome you into the Allaine order as an apprentice of good. Be aware that this a tough path, but I have faith in you. A toast..." Alezand said as he waved over a server carrying wine. After filling a pair of flutes, he raised his glass, "To our many future adventures, together..." before draining his glass. After a few minutes, he asked "Do you have a place to stay?"

Adrienne smiled she knew it would be hard but she was willing. "Thank you Alezand." she said as she raised her glass and drank from it. Adrienne shook her head "No I don't." she said.

"Well there is room at the manor. It may be a little crowded, with Tyanno and Kosuka, but there are emty rooms available. You are welcome to come and stay if that is your wish." Alezand offered. "besides, kosuka is hardly around anymore, I don't know where he goes. Tyanno is nice enough, you two should get along very well. He's a mage as well. Elementalist, to be exact. He speciallizes in ice and water right now, working towards fire I beleive." he smiled. "So tell me about yourself, as I am very curious to get to know you, m'dear..."

Alezand sat intently, listening as Adrienne told of her past. It seemed everyone here had some darkness or misfortune happen to them, despite being good people, thus forcing them here. Strange, like they were drawn here in their collective pain and strive to right the past. And Alezand was determined to affect that change, to avenge those wronged. It was his calling, his destiny. "Go on..." he urged her, intent in finding out this young woman's ailment and do his best to solve it. This whole land was turning into a mystery for him.
