Kaldaka slipped into the shadows around the edges of the hall, gazing out over the laughing, chattering mass of people. She sighed softly and leaned back against the stone as if asking for support. Closing her eyes for a moment, she mustered up her strength. It had been slipping away recently, as if pulled away from her. Breathing in a jagged breath, she moved out towards the table, grace in every movement. Picking up a small glass of water, she sipped it and winced as she shifted her weight. Taking off her black cloak, she placed it on the back of her chair.
She wore a white 'peasants' shirt with rich embroidery on it and a dark green skirt that also was embroidered. Simple but elegant, she knew. And she also knew that she didn't want to wear anything else. She walked over to the edge of the room with her glass of water, favoring her left leg, though even with a limp she looked graceful.

Raven continued to watch the mass of people float to the music. From time to time she glanced at the king, wondering if he was going to just stand there the entire time...she really wasn't even sure what the point of this gathering was, she had only glanced at the letter.

"excellent, I get something for you right away..." he exclaimed and hurried off to grab the drinks. He returned quickly with two mugs of mulled wine. "A specialty of my region, warms the heart and the bones." he said with a smile as he handed her a mug. he gulped his down, and found himself lost again, in the pretty young mage that was standing there beside him...

"Of course..." she said with a soft smile, taking his hand. She smiled again and leaned forward placing a soft kiss upon his lips. Riley smiled and replaced her soft kiss back and caressed her cheek. "So how have you been my lady Guinevere?" |

She smiled and stepped closer to him, wrapping her arms around his waist as she rested her head against his chest.

Riley smiled and kissed the top of her head. He wrapped his arms around her hips and softly whispered in her ear.
"Can I speak to you somewhere private, perhaps the gardens? I have something to ask you".

Riley smiled and took her hand, leading her out unto the fresh nightly air and towards the gardens. He kissed her hand softly and soon stopped. He looked up at the stars and leaned foward to whisper something in her ear.
"You, my love, are my soul mate and one true love. I could never be able to live another day without you. I was going to wait until I was knighted,but since I have to wait, I'd rather do it now. Guinevere, will you marry me and be my wife?"

Guinevere smiled. She knew her answer but she couldn't speak. A tear streamed down her cheek as she looked into his eyes. "Riley... I love you so much. I couldn't stand to be without you... so yes, Riley. I would love to marry you..." she said with a smile.

ooc: So am I...I can't sleep and I have an evil thing called NetNanny on my comp! Grrrrrrrr.....I want to kill it.
Riley smiled brightly and widely, picking her up and kissing her softly as he spun her around. He placed her down and reached into his coat, pulling out a perfect ring(I couldn't choose between two in my head..lol). He continued to smile and placed the ring on her finger.
"I love you Guinevere..I always will, always have. I will love you until the end of time, I promise you. I love you so much Guinevere", he said softly before kissing her lips again.
