Alezand decided to take a day off. He had gathered his fishing gear, bow, quiver and arrows and had set out to return to a place more familiar to him. AH the outdoors, how he loved nature and its beauty. He had neglected it ever since he had entered the kingdom of avaren. oh well, he had been busy afterall. He had made many friends, discovered some clues to his destiney, won some fights, and gathered info on the evil that has been creeping into this land. overall, he had been very successful. He sat down on the bank, baited a hook and casted out long. with a plop, his lure sank beneath the surface. sitting back, a finger on the line, Alezand took in the beautiful scenery around him. the sounds of the woods filled him. the scent blasting his mind with both mystery and recognition. the taste of the air quenched his soul's thirst.

Eranni lay on her back, allowing the sweet, fragrant grasses craddle her as she rested. She had recieved a few days off, along with most of the warriors or warrios to be.
She fingered her clothes with closed eyes, hoping she wasn't ruining them. They weren't warrors garb... but rather clothes more befitting for a youth her age.

Alezand snapped out of the trance as he felt a tug on his finger. He froze in a relaxed position for only a second, and then quickly and precisely tugged the rod, setting the hook. The pole quivered, doubled over as the line swirled around the water. Whatever he had on the line, it was big, and it wasn't giving in. He fought, tugging hard, pulling in line, slowly getting closer to his submerged adversary. Another fifteen minutes went by before an almighty splash announced the captive Northern Pike on the end of the line. A few moments later, Alezand had managed to drag the large predatory fish ashore. With a thump on the base of the skull, the fish ceased to struggle and Jozlyn breathed out a sigh of triumph.

The splash of the fish had startled Eranni out of her solitude. She sat up, looking about her. Seeing a stranger by the lakeside she would have ignored him... but his fish caught her eye.
"Northen Pike." She said, coming over to crouch by his fish. "Hard to catch, and will fetch you a fair price." She offered the stranger a smile, "You from around here?"

Alezand looked up and smiled. "I hail from the forests of the northeast. These are much more common in my land." He began setting a fire, and turned again back at the young woman,"I am Alezand Jozlyn," bowing low. "and you are?"

Saphira's eyes glinted as she breathed in the scent of leaves around her. She was sitting, perched, birdlike on the springy tree branch above the pair below, observing. She ajusted her expression. Are you sure you can do it?? THe voice in her head was, as usual, mocking and patronising. Yes, ofcourse I can do this. I've done it before Kat. I'm sure you succeed everytime... She could almost see the demon laughing. Her fists clenched, then unclenched as she took a few breaths to calm herself. Yea yea. This one will be eeasy. I won't rush this time. Ok. You helping? I suppose I will.....
LIghtly, Saphira swung and landed lithe on the gassy bank of the lake. She didn't speak. She waited. And smiled a satisfied smile.

Eranni smiled, "Eranni of the Norhttower Clan." He replied, almost automatically. "Born and bred in these parts."
She jumped as the newcomer landed, and her hand instantly snapped to her back. She cursed! How her father would shout at her if he caught her unarmed!

Alezand was quicker, the blade of shining brilliance flashed in front of them in a graceful sweep, stopping in a form three guard position. But his alarm stopped short. "Saphiri, what is the meaning of this?!' He asked exsasperatedly. Despite his recognition of the newcomer, he did not lighten his guard any less. he stood, poised.

There! See? The mark on that sword, it is most definately- Shut up shut up shut up! I can't concentrate! You just don't like being-Owww! Saphira had treated it with a sharp blast of spell muttered. Hopefully, no one noticed her apparent 'wringing' of fingers.
Exteriorly, she smiled in a childish fashion, of a small girl that had just discovered it could send water pouring down on passersby. She gave that smile now. "Meaning? There is no meaning." she gave a free spirited giggle. She was quite an actor. She bowed mockingly then sat, cross legged on the grassy bank. "And you should really put that blade away you know...well..maybe you don't." She cocked her head to one side, her smile curling at the edge of her features. They did not reach her eyes. "Well. Just saying hello I suppose. I like to drop in." Not very funny....

Eranni blinked, confused. She looked between newcomer and Alezand, and sighed. She nodded her head. "Eranni of the Northtower Clan." She called, "And you?"

Alezand still stood at unease. Saphiri had the innate ability to bring trouble with her no matter where she went. Plus, he wasn't sure of her true intentions, despite his numerous recent encounters with her. She just made him uneasy. Something wasn't right...

"Siparti," she said to the girl. She turned back to the young man. "Really." she said, admiration glinting in her eyes. Almost unnoticable. "Relax. I'm not going to kill anyone."

Alezand hestitated, but eventually sheathed his sword, though he stayed ever alert. He could draw it quick enough, if the need should arise. He glanced at Eranni to see how she was taking this intrusion upon their tranquility. "And what do I owe to this all too frequent pleasure?" he asked dryly, turning his attention back to Saphiri. This woman did appear inthe most inoppurtune places and times. He suspected her greatly, but of what, he wasn't entirely sure...
