It was night. And just like in a book, the moon shone over the lake's still waters like some mirror image, hardly a ripple distrubed its beautiful surface. Nathaniel liked nature. He was most at home in it. And he was once again, propped again the same willow, his flute against his lips, a soft tune floating against the thin pale like wind that seemed to sigh over the scene.
Serene and peaceful..yet, under all the pleasant smiles and contented expressions, flattering conversations and all too polite champagne loving young man, his heart was just as troubled as the sea, which maintains a smooth, decieving surface.
The flute tune was lamenting, a beautiful, heart breaking beauty of the simple tune, pure and crystalizing. A hearts lement...like troubled waters...that would bring him home...

Duilya grinned as she could hear music from a flute ahead, she could almost guess that she knew who it was. Duilya had only came out to get some air, yet once she had started walking she couldn’t stop, it was such a clear night in which all the starts seemed to show off.
Seeing Nathaniel up ahead, she paused for a moment and watched, the tune was so sad that she didn’t know if she could bare disturbing him in such a time. “You may think I look sad But I am just sleeping It's my facial expression I'm probably dreaming Would you like to be sad? Would you like me to teach you? Well, you can learn to be sad But you must practice like I do “ she sang quietly this time blending it into his tune.

Nathaniel stopped. He knew all too well who it was. He twirled his flute idly around his fingers, not moving from his present position, staring over the waters, the stars reflected in their brilliance in the blue green depths. He didn't speak. or maybe he could not find the words to describe or interpret the thoughts. He simply took the flute back to his lips and continued to play, this time the tune with its thirds and sixths as harmony blending in with the most beautiful melody. Hear rending. But the most beautiful music was the most sorrowful and full of unleashed grief.

Duilya smiled as letting her hair just wave around in the wind and closing her eyes. The change of tone made it impossible to sing to, or it could have been that no matter what song she would remember at this moment it wouldn’t give the tune any justice and would only distract a listener from the true beauty of it. She stayed listening sitting a little behind Nathaniel trying not to disturb his sorrow. As listening she felt herself become aware of everything around her, she could almost smell the fresh breeze; the dew on the grass and crickets that croaks was in time with the music. She wanted to say something but there wasn’t anything to say, except. “I hope you don’t mind me sitting in?” She asked quietly.

He stopped and turned around. "No," he said quietly. "Maybe I could do with some company." He smiled calmly and looked for all the world contented and pleasant. "What brings you out here in this time of night? Do angels not sleep?"

Duilya laughed as walking over to him and sitting down, the grass was a little wet but it didn’t overly bother her. “Angel’s sleep as long as the don’t get lured out by music” She raised a eyebrow as trying to keep a straight face yet it didn’t stay for long. “I just felt like a night walk, I must say I didn’t think about being out this long… yet just didn’t feel like going back to the stuffy dorm. If you cant sleep there isn’t really all that much you can do…. But enough about me why were you sitting out here?” She asked as twirling a strand of hair out of habit.

He slipped the flute into its smooth casing over his shoulder. "You could say I wanted to get away from reality." he gestured at the lake. "Look at it. It doesn't look very real does it?" he paused, letting the wind bring the scent of flowers. "You could also say I regret coming back."

Duilya frowned as looking over the water; it did look as if it was part of the sky, as it reflected all the stars from the night sky. She would have loved to be able to see things the way Nathaniel seemed to, I guess it was a racial trait, but to be able to feel and smell everything around. “You should regret anything… everyday people take a path in which they cant turn back, it doesn’t mean its wrong its just memories seems so much sweeter than everything else... yet you cant go back so might as well find something in the world you live in now that comforts you, such as being near your sister” She explained trying to help, she understood the feeling of wanting to go back in time but it was impossible, so she would now find peace in other things and find the truth about her farm.

His face darkened. "Being near my sister? Have you met her? She's the sort hat might kill me if she is in a bad mood." he laughed, though there was no joy in it. "Your closest resemblence. And your greatest difference. She's the reason I regret coming back."

Duilya realized her mistake a little to late and regretted seeing his face darken in such a way. “I’m sorry, but you are blood….” She thought for a moment wondering if she wanted to say what she was thinking or not, deciding that it would hurt continued. “I told you how my father became ill after my mother died… she died in childbirth both her and my sister died… she is your blood and so I cant see you regretting seeing her that much, but if you do then that means you have to find something else that brings you happiness in this place such as this lake” She said sadly looking down and picking a near by daisy to play with in her hands. “Well, I’m glad you came who else would I have found that plays the flute and actually thinks I’m an angel” She laughed nervously.

He smiled, perhaps geniuenly for the first time. "Yes. Well. Avaren is a happy place. Even one's laments can not taint it." He stared back over the waters, into the reflections of the moon.

Duilya nodded in agreement. She wished she could create an magical artistic fountain at that moment. But she knew she wouldn’t have been able to do anything so impressive so instead she content with grubbing a fairy wishing flower. It’s hundred of white seeds. She closed her eyes to make a wish, in which she wouldn’t tell anyone or else it may not come true. And when finished her with blew all the petrels out which fanned out into the breeze. They danced around in circles, floating just above the water and the breeze drifted them away. She laughed lightly, knowing it was childish but that was part of who she was.
((occ: I don’t know if you know what flowers/weeds I’m talking about, I couldn’t think of their name))

Nathaniel smiled again. "Making a wish? I wish I could.." then laughed quietly. "It is peaceful isn't it? Around here...not even your own desires seem real, or feelings or anything material..."

Duilya laughed. “Everything that the world sees as important just disappears… but I think I have one desire which I don’t want to ignore” She looked at Nathaniel a teasing gleam in her eyes as she kissed him on the cheek suddenly and then ran into the water. She didn’t overly know why she had kissed his cheek. All she had know was she wanted to go for a swim and at that moment it seemed like the perfect moment. The water felt cool against her skin, her cloths clinged to her and swam under water for a moment, just in her own world of thought.

A strange expression crossed his face as both his eyebrows disappeared into his raven hair. (ooc: raised, not really disappeared.) He laughed, rather unsure of himself. THen walked slowly towards the water that lapped gently at the shore. "Is it cold?" he asked, laughing.
