David turned a saw Avean there. He then looked back into the depths of the cave. Good he thought. He approached Avean but stood blocking the view of the meat pile. "Hey, what are you doing here, Avean?" he asked her.

"Uh..I don't know I was just wandering..." she said, walking towards David with caution. Avean ignored the other . "What are you doing?" she asked curiously, setting a hand on his shoulder.

"I, um, I was..." David started. He couldn't finish. He was trying to find something to say that wasn't totally a lie. He didn't want anyone finding out about what lived in this cave. He didn't want anyone finding out about him. It was bad enough that one other person already knew besides him. But he couldn't let everyone know.

"It's nothing wrong." David replied, "It's just something that I have agreed to do. I have to meet someone here at least once a day." He explained this but tried to keep it hidden. He gave a sigh. He knew this wasn't going to fly. She was going to want to know more about this. He could sense it.

She tilted her head, watching his expression. Avean sighed and nodded, understanding he didn't want to tell her. "Oh..." she mumbled, holding a small smile.

"I'm sorry, but you'll find out eventually." David told her. He let out a sigh of relief and smiled back at her. He turned his head to look behind him. He's still back there and hasn't eaten yet. he thought.

David kissed her back and watched her leave. He then walked a little bit deeper in the cave. "It's alright." he said, "She's gone now. It's safe for you to come and eat." After speaking to what seemed darkness, a large figure moved. It came toward the pile of meat and started eating it slowly.
