Commonly known as the Shout box, or Chat box or just plain Cbox.
THats what I known at anyrate.
These are not like chat rooms, but, I'm sure many of you will know without my explainations that they are convenient and more...instant?
I suggest we have one. Many forums do, and it is much more easier and quicker to use then the PM.

There's always been a certain enjoyment in using the PM system. It is slow, private, and keeps 'RP-ing' alive. You can't get too out of control over the PM system. That's why I think it's best that we keep going with the way we have it.

I think a cbox is too much hassle, If it is important enough then we can take the time to make a thread or pm someone.

Too much hassle? What do you mean, too much hassle? Get the code, stick it in the global footer, Voila, you've got one.
I think it is great becuase you don't have to PM someone when you have rped to their post/done whatever they have requested etc. Its much more convenient. i'm not saying I dont LIKE PM. Its just a suggestion.

In my experience in things, I find that the cbox is like the devil's right hand to rp threads. You have people that aren't members of this site, but are members to other sites and start macking on everyone is here like how they have the same pictures, names, etc. Not only that but it seems that every time a cbox is put on, the rp site fails one way or the other.

Well I don't know about sites based on thiese storylines but on other sites it has been very helpful, I'd say from my experience. This is only my first site with a story line involving warriors and mages.

As for the non members using it.
You simply set it so that they either can't see it at all if they are outsiders, and need to join and sign in, OR you can do it so that they DO see it, but cant write.
And a simple solution'o to the 'mocking' problem. Simply inform the King of that and guess what, we can make it so outers can see/post in threads.
