This morning was a chilled with a swift wind that showed no mercy to Liet. The bright sun was blotted out by gray rumbling clouds. The atmosphere gave off the scent of rain. Liet stepped through the gates. People were scattered through the city doing anything and everything. People selling, buying, bartering, and trading. The scene chaos gave her a sense of relaxation. She never planned ahead and was always getting into some sort of trouble. Even if it was by accident or on purpose.
Liet Relith. A simple thief at the age of sixteen, from a neighboring kingdom. She never stole more than was absolutely necessary. It was most thieves' code not to let their greed get in the way. But Liet didn't really like rules in general. Back home Liet was a former member of a notorious gang of thieves. But that nightmare was done with. She was better at what she did alone. Liet had heard many great things from this land. Such as the powerful new king and the fierce tournaments. She was ready for a change. Ready for something new.
Liet wore a strappy gray dress with a dragon symbol sewed on but it was hidden with a dark gray cloak. The hood was down her chain necklace was tight around her neck. She wore flat soft leather shoes. They were not great all terrain shoes but they were nice when she need to be stealthy. She scratched her head wondering where to go. Then she grabbed a lock of her hair and frowned remembering her long hair that was there only weeks ago. Liet let out a sigh.
Her brown eye surveyed the area searching for something interesting. Just then a rather rich man entered the castle surrounded buy bodyguards. Liet glanced around her again for the castle guards, the area seemed to be clear. She smirked, put her hood up and headed over to the rich man. She stopped in front of him.
In a sad pitiful voice she pleated,"Please my lord can you spare some change?"
He scuffed at her remark , "Bloody wench stand back." He tried moving out of the way. But Liet stepped back in front of him.
"Please my lord, please!" she cried grabbing his robe. A high ranking body guard came from behind her and took a swing hitting her in the back of the head. She flew forward, crashing into a few other guards. They cursed at her and shoved her to the side as the rich man made his way through the city.
She spit on the ground and stood up wiped the blood from her lip. She smirked again reaching in her cloak and pulled out three fat change bags. They did not belong to the Rich man but the guards. She lowered her hood revealing her brunette hair. Looking around she saw a few crates and took a seat. She peered inside to see how much money she had scored.
"Nice." she muttered.
