Time to Socialize

*Selena felt comforted by what Persephone said.* "Thank you." *She murmured.* "What brings you to the square today?" *She felt silly asking but didnt know what else to say.*

[Persephone DeVone]

"I wanted to explore, since I've never actually been a big city, and this place seemed pretty nice. I even met Kalim and Fera here! So I guess it's a really nice place with good people!"

She smiled again hoping to make Selena feel even more comfortable. She didn't think Selena felt quite like she should be talking, and only hoped that she relaxed a little bit. None of them, well at least she hoped, weren't going to hurt her.

*Selena relaxed. Persephone had a calming effect on her. She felt more at home here than she had since she got here.* "Well, the last time i came here i found a couple of herb shops that were wonderfully stocked. If you like to make potions and concauctions like that."

[Persephone DeVone]

"Really? I was trying to find some shops like that earlier, but I couldn't find anything of the sort."

Persephone wondered where the shops were because she honestly couldn't find them. Maybe they'd been on one of the paths that she'd gotten to frustrated to head down before she'd made her way back to her home.

[Kalim]

Kalim watched with feigned interest as an apparent acquaintance of Persephone arrived and introduced herself, followed by Persephone saving him the trouble of his own introductions. When talk turned to shopping, however, Kalim felt it was about time for an attempt at changing the subject.

"You know, the academy, being an academy of magic, would most likely have all sorts of ingredients and such for all sorts of potions. Although, while we are on that subject, I'd like to mention I have little knowledge at all in any sort of herb lore, besides being able to not kill myself every time I go out into the wild by eating some form of poisonous plant, as is proven by my being here right now. What of your own skills? I suppose at every mage academy there should be someone around who aspires to be an apothecary of some sort."

*Selena turned her attention to a man introduced to her as Kalim. She was very interested in what he had to say seeing as he was from the academy. She wanted to learn as much as she could about anything with magic.*

"I honestly have no idea what my skills are. A couple of years ago, Momma, Gods bless her soul, told me that i helped her father regain his health after being sick for a month. I didnt believe it until i found that i had the gift. Perhaps I have the gift of healing. My Momma had premonitions and i have had one, but Momma forced it. She gave me some sort of drink to cause me to have one. Im not sure what that means. Tis why Im so excited to get into the academy to learn all i can."

*She smiled warmly at the man in front of her.*

[Fera Lupinus]

When Selena first introduced herself Fera inclined her head as her way of greeting then once she raised her brown eyes, along with her head, she spoke her name. "I'm Fera, pleasure to meet you Selena." However after she spoke those few words Persephone and Selena sort of began a separate conversation of their own. Sighing she turned to look at Kalim who had, fortunately, changed the topic.

Thinking, she tried to figure out what her possible talent could be. Well...there was what her father told her...was that a talent? "I seem to have an uncanny ability with animals. They understand me and I them." She paused trying to think of how to word her next sentence. "My father once told me that every time I got angry my eyes would change to match the animals around me...he said I might have the power to become a shape shifter."

Selena watched Fera with interest. A Shape-shifter...wow, that would be amazing. "There is also an ancient magic i have heard of, its called wild magic. Its where you can communicate with animals and call them. Usually you will find it with herders."

"Yeah I've heard of that. I've also heard it's pretty rare." Fera thought back to all her experiences with animals...could she have wild magic? Inwardly shrugging her shoulders she told herself to ponder on it later. "That would be an amazing gift though. To be able to completely understand them...all I can do is see their basic feelings like anger, sadness, glee, and so on and so forth."

Selena thought about it..."Still, Its possible...For me? I would like to be an Apothecaryst or healer. My Momma told me once that i healed my grandfather after being sick for a month. I love anything doing with herbs."

[Fera Lupinus]

Fera's eyes widened slightly with amusement and awe, that was quickly banished as the wind blew her hair in front of her face again causing her to frown.

"That is truly amazing...wish I could do something like that." Fera thought back to her father who had been ll for some time and no one knew how to cure him.

Selena felt a gust of wind blow her long brown curly hair into her face. She laughed as Fera frowned at it. "i love the wind in my hair. Its so freeing. Im full blood gypsy. I dont exactly look it but I am. My Momma didnt want me to be. She thought gypsies were ill bred." Selena shruged her shoulders.

[Persephone DeVone]

"I guess I've always had a knack for the elements. When I was little I used to cause small fires around the house, and my twin used to go crazy about them. I really haven't caused anything like that in a while, so maybe it was just conincidence or something."

She thought back to the times when she'd looked into the fire, glared,and had it jump. But that was so long ago, and she wasn't certain she could still do that.

Selena was fascinated by the possible elementist in front of her. "May hap you should try? Can you create fire? What a wonderful talent that would be!"

[Persephone DeVone]

"I really haven't tried to yet. I don't want to create something and then lose all control over it. I mean that would just cause chaos and problems, but if I get to choose which element'd I want to control, I guess fire's top on my list."

It had been awhile since the thought of control fire had crossed her mind. As she'd grown older she'd found herself faced with more problems than just fire, and so she'd struggled with it all together. Now she just wanted to be able to control the basics and then move on to the bigger things.
