Emma wandered the square alone. She stopped to drink at the fountain. Once she had had a good drink she looked around. Not may people were around. Emma sat on the fountain's edge and started to daydream.

Wanderring around the square, Vermillion decided it was the perfect time to lie down and look towards the sky. Now... this would have been a perfectly fine idea for him to do were it not for the fact that someone was already sitting in his spot at the fountain.
"Why... the nerve of them," he muttered under his breath. Out loud, however, he said something quite different.
"Lovely day isn't it? Although, I wouldn't sit for too long in that spot for it looks as though it may rain later on. If I were you, I would move indoors so as to not get wet." He smiled pleasantly down at the girl sitting on the edge of the water.

Emma looked up and saw a boy talking to her. "Oh, No thanks, I'm fine here." Emma said, smiling. She heard the boy say that it might rain so she looked up at the sky. "I don't think it's going rain anyway"Emma said when she saw that the sky was as clear as water.

It proved that she would be a little more difficult than he had originally thought. She had obviously taken into account that it did indeed not look like rain at all, quite observant.
"Are you sure about that? I mean, I did think I saw some clouds off in the distance towards that direction," as he said this, he pointed away behind her, "I'm pretty sure I saw some there. Pretty nasty storm breweing if I do say so myself."

"Well when it rains I'll go" Emma said "But for now I think I'll just stay." Emma smiled at the boy and then she started to go back to daydreaming.

He frowned for a fraction of a second before going back to all smiles again.
"Now seriously, that's rather rediculous to stay outside and risk getting wet," he said, " especially when it could jump up on you so suddenly and you were well informed that it was coming."
As he mentioned this, he snapped the fingers on his right hand, which was behind his back at the moment. As he did so, the sound of thunder rumbled across the plaza.

"May I ask why you don't go inside if you think it's going to rain so much?" Emma said smiling.
((I know it's a short message but who cares))

Obviously this was getting nowhere, he would have to try more drastic measures if he was ever going to get his spot back. He snapped his fingers again and thunder resouded across the square.
"Now seriously, if it weren't going to rain then why do I hear thunder?" he asked calmly. In his mind multiple scenarios played their way out, in the end he decided upon force as the easiest way to work things.
The hand which had snapped, and which was still behind his back began to glow red-orange as the temperature began to increase around it.

Emma held up her and and concentrated. An umbrella appeared. "There now, I won't get wet like this"Emma said and then she added "I still want to know why you don't go inside"

Vermillion looked astonished at her action, "An umbrella... why would you pull up an umbrella if it was thundering. Wouldn't that just conduct the electricity toward you. Granted now you won't get wet, but you are also a living lightning rod."
The light around his hand began to flicker as he pointed up toward the sky with his right index finger. The clouds directly above the square turned very ominous and began to flicker slightly with electrical charges.

"Very well" Emma said as she made the umbrella disappear. "So why don't you go inside yourself?"

"Because clearly he wants to sit where your rear is parked, darlin'." Came a voice quite metaphorically placed, like velvet. A figured clad in a dusty apparel swerved around a merchant pushing a small wagon and stepped up behind the young boy whom had quite a display forming behind his back - much to the amusement of the woman.
Her copper-gold eyes studied the two for a moment, before a smirk played itself craftily over her rusty-brown lips. Beautiful markings of maroon and black were traced over her shadowed face, and strands of cropped black hair flicked out by her cheeks under the low brim of a rather old-style hat. Crossing cut-finger-gloved hands over her chest she winked at the boy before stepping around him to take a seat near the girl on the edge of the fountain and looking up to the sky.
"I'd say it depends on whether you move or not as to whether or not it will rain." The woman almost hissed in a husky tone, the smirk still settled quite snug on her features.

Vermillion turned his head to look at the voice coming from behind him. As he saw the person speaking, a dark look flashed across his face. The pupils of his eyes flashed red and the rest darkened to black. His eyebrows turned down into a look of fury and his mouth curled into a snarl. Then, almost as suddenly as his face had changed, it was back to the carefree look from before, a smile upon his face and a twinkle in his eye.
"Now really, I was just having some fun," he said a hint of disappointment in his voice as he spoke, "Why'd you have to go and ruin my little bit of amusement. I was only testing her."
At this last bit, he clenched his hand into a fist. As he unclenched it, the energy that had worked its way around it had dispersed and the ominous clouds above had disappeared.

Emma smiled. "Well, if thats the case then I think I'll say bye" Emma said to the boy still smiling. She looked up at the lady and said "Hello" As Emma went back to daydreaming she thought about all the people who had been kind to her and all those people who had been quite nasty. That boy did not fit in eathier of those things. He did try to trick her but somehow Emma saw that was not nasty at all.

Painted black nails skimmed the brim of her hat as the woman raised a sharp brow at the boy's momentary show of a monstrous face. Her smirk increased and she chuckled quietly to herself; she had come across far more dangerous creatures in her time, and frankly, she though he was adorable, though he didn't need to know that.
"Whoa there kiddo, I never said a word. In fact," She rose, keeping one hand firmly on the brim of her hat to keep one eye covered. She continued, "I merely informed her of where you appeared to wish to sit, and made a judgement on whether it would rain or not." She winked at him, before politely stepping around him.
"Don't fret though, I can see when I'm not wanted." And as she said this, a little tug on her hat pulled it down further and she tucked both hands into deep pockets of a floor-trailing cloak and she began to walk away. That crooked smirk never left her lips.
