Braeden is a young warrior new to the city of Avaren. He didn't know how he came to reside here, but one day he woke up and he was just, here. He started exploring the place a bit and he really liked it here. There were so many people and places to go.
The city square. A place he had heard of around the town from evesdropping in others' conversations. He came here just shy of night and wondered if he'd see something amazing. He liked this place and hoped to find out why he ended up here, and what happened to him.
If he would be in such a blooming city, he wanted to be someone important for sure.

They young man was not the only one out that morning, although the onset of clouds, dark enough to threaten rain or snow, did scare most of the other inhabitants to stay inside. The sun was low in the sky, proving to anyone outside that darkness would come in a few hours. Still, a young woman of nineteen urged her horse forward toward the small gathering post a little way off from the main road.
Upon arriving, she dismounted easily enough and made her way to the well that was built by the King for the use of the townspeople. Dropping the bucket into the darkness below, she waited for the water to make the rope taunt enough to pull up again. As she began to turn the wheel on the side of the well to bring up the bucket, she heard an anxious stomp behind her.
"Oh, be patient Solmid, I know it was a long ride and you're thirsty. Be glad that the water's not frozen, for it's not exactly summer time," she told the animal behind her, her voice light.
As she kept at it, the wind picked up tousling her long dark hair into her face, prolonging the work. Her blue eyes glinted in frustration as she reached up to brush her locks aside. Sadly as she did so, her arm faltered and the bucket dropped a few feet once more.
"Of all the rotten-," she mumbled, although refrained from using profanity, which she'd heard on every corner of town. Finally dragging out the water bucket she set it on the ground before her tired horse. And as she looked up over the black animal's head, her eyes fell on a boy a little further off. We're not the only ones out it seems, she thought to herself as she watched him walking along.
(ooc: you might like to try using past tense in your posts, for that's what mostly everyone else uses. It makes for easier reading.)

Sunset had come upon the city and fell to an almost night now. Evee had came to the city square to look for Maril, hoping that he would be passing through here. She was sure now that he had left her forever...Evee stood up against a wall to one of the blacksmith stores and looked around the city square glumly. 'Oh Maril. why have you left me so unhappy and lonely? Will you ever come back?' She thought to herself doubtfully.
Upon looking around the somewhat people inhabited square, she saw a young man with silver and black locks and green eyes. Never had she seen a man who looked like that. He had obviously never been here before, or maybe not in the city square. Evee would've noticed someone who looked so different. He was looking around the city square as he walked slowly, like he was exploring the place.
'I've never seen him around here before...' She thought to herself curiously. She stood there watching him wanting to know if he was looking for something, or for "someone" like she was. He was certainly a rather different looking fellow though.

Braeden started to get a nice feel from this place, though he didn't know how he got here. The last thing he remembered was slipping into a coma at his home in the far lands of Fedwick and now he's here in Avaren. Anyone else would have freaked out by now, but Braeden took advantage of this opportunity however strange it might be.
He got the eerie feeling that someone was watching him and he stopped in mid step then looked around. Braeden noticed two women had their eyes locked on him. 'Whoa, weird...' He thought to himself. This wouldn't be the first time some mysterious women started starring at him out of the blue. But this was his first time ever being in Avaren. Maybe he had that effect on girls somehow. He didn't see how though.
Getting a little nervous, he walked over to the side and sat on a bench near a candle stand. He could smell the many scents as soon as he sat down. Braeden didn't mind the starring but, he'd have to get used to it. He looked at hte girl getting water from the well. She had a horse, a beautifull horse. Then he looked over at the girl standing against the wall, she didn't seem very happy, but she was very beautifull. Like the other girl, but somewhat different.
'Who are these women I wonder...They stopped what they were doing just to look at me...' He thought to himself still not believing this was happening. He sat back on the bench and relaxed, closing his eyes and tilting his head back. Braeden wasn't sure what would happen tonight but he was sure it would be interesting.

Evee didn't want to disturb his peace or solitude. But if he was new to the city, she would want to show him around because she's lived here most of her life. She saw how layed back and relaxed he was and smiled. 'I can see that he likes it here...' She thought to herself. she walked over to the young man not certain what she'd say to him when she got to him. Evee thought about it as she approached him.
She came up to the bench he was resting on and put her hands behind her back. " Hi there. Are you new around here?" She asked politely. She didn't want to intrude but, she didn't want anyone to be uneducated about a good city. Evee awaited his reply and kept a smile on her face.

As Braeden was relaxing, he heard the sound of a woman's sweet gentle voice. 'Hi there, are you new here?' said the kind voice. Braeden opened his eyes and looked up to see a beautiful smiling face looking down at him. His first mind was to sit there frozen, but he smiled back at her instead. Braeden sat up straight on the bench and presented himself professionally.
"Oh, hi yourself." He said with a wider smile showing his shining teeth. "I am new here, at least I think so..." He said with a bit of uncertainty. "Uh-sorry, please sit. You don't have to stand on my behalf." He said patting the empty spot next to him. 'Geeze, I can't just get all kid-like when a woman comes to talk with me...' He thought to himself embarrased.
Braeden hoped that she would accept his offer and pretend she didn't see him nearly forget his manners just now. He was an all-around nice guy, always. He was never rude or disrespectfull to anyone. Though he still wondered why this young girl looked so sad not even moments before she came over to him.

"Thank you very much." She said excepting his offer and sitting next to him. "I'm Evee Natalia, nice to meet you. What's your name stranger?" She asked politely. she saw a bit of the long stressful road he might of traveled, in his eyes. They were very empty. Evee remembered seeing the same thing in Maril's eyes. Evee smoothed out her dress and waited for the boy's reply.

'Beauty divine....' Braeden thought to himself contently as he looked at her. "Braeden Afrit, nice to meet you also M'lady." he said layed back. He sat there wondering just how he got here and who saved him from a terrible fate? Right now he really couldn't worry about such a thing when he had such a nice young woman sitting at his side. She was warming and radiant, her smile warmed your soul.

Evee noticed how he looked at her, very interested and eager to chat. Though he seemed confused or worried about something. "Is something wrong?" she asked concerned. Evee could tell that something was bothering him. She didn't like it when people were sad around her, or troubled period.

"Wrong? Nothing's wrong heh." Though of course there was, he just didn't want to trouble her with his problems. He was curious though, why she looked so sad before walking over to him. "I think the real question is, is something the matter with you?" He didn't want his question to sound rude because he really wanted to know. "I know we just met but, there's nothing wrong with a little friendly counsel is it?" He asked with a smile. Evee looked about his age, maybe a year older at the most. 'Maybe meeting her today was't such a coincidence at all.' Braeden thought to himself.

Evee was shocked and without words. 'He actually noticed I was upset from across the square?' She thought embarrassed. Evee was terrible at hiding her emotions. "...I...Nothing's wrong! What makes you say that?!" She said turning away blushing after she shouted defensively at him. Right then she knew she made a fool of herself, it's not like her. But since her lover left her, she didn't know how to control her raw emotions. Maril turned her world upside down and made her feel like she was flying. Not being able to feel that way in a while made her feel incomplete. Braeden seemed to have came from the ends of the earth to bring her a new kind of joy. But Evee is so confused she just wants to push anyone who tries to get close to her away. not intentionally, but Maril left her that way.

Braeden felt bad after she snapped at him like that. He tried to gather up his thoughts and comfort her. "I'm sorry Evee, I didn't mean to offend you. I was just concerned is all." He paused, "If you rather not talk about it than it's okay, I understand." Braeden said in a calming voice trying to reflect calmness and senserity in his voice. Just then he got an idea, one that will help the both of them out. He stood up with a grin and offered his hand to her. "How's about we go for a walk & talk huh?" He said cheerfully. He hoped she would oblige.

'A walk...' "Sure." She said turning back toward him with a smile. She stood up and looked him in his big brown eyes. Smiling bashfully, Evee looked around for a second before looking back at Braeden and putting her hands behind her back. "Let's go then shall we?" She said eagerly. She didn't know where they would walk to, but she wanted to spend time with Braeden. To get to know him or jog his memory.

"Cool, let's go around town..." Without thinking, he took her slinder hand in his masculine one and walked with her out of the city square area and around small parts of the city. "So Evee, what was it that was bothering you so much? I really want to know, maybe I could help?" Braeden hated to see someone so beautiful so upset. Even if he couldn't help he'd try to cheer her up.

"Ah-" Evee said as she was taken by the hand unexpectantly. She looked over at him with wonder and walked with him. 'what was really bothering you? I wanna know. Maybe I can help?' Braeden's question echoed in her head. Evee looked down at the cobble stone ground glumly. "It's just, I lost someone who was very dear to me..." She paused, choking back tears. "...He left without a 'I'll return soon' or 'don't worry about me' Nothing..."
Evee swollowed her raw and bitter emotions so she would'nt start balling right in front of him. That wouldn't be a good first impression. "Enough about me, do you remember anything about your past before you came here?" Evee asked trying to change the subject. The truth was, there was nothing Braeden could really do except mend her broken heart. But could he really put a heart back together that was shattered into millions of pieces?
