It had taken weeks upon weeks leading up to months of work for Hayzie Roberts, but finally the young owner of Avaren's Tavern had prepared the building for its opening. Never again would she do that much work, she doubted. Pulling her red hair down out of it's ponytail, leaving it brushing her shoulders as her glittering green eyes surveyed the homely looking Tavern.
Comfortable chairs sat around the edges with a few packs of playing cards on the shelves beside them, books lined the walls just behind the chairs, and a few tables and chairs sat in the middle, candles balancing in the middle providing accompanying lights to the candles that gave a comforting glow to the room.
Nodding, satisfied with her work, the redheaded girl, who had only recently turned eighteen and recently reached the dizzying heights of Tavern ownership, went out the back of the room and changed into her work clothes, a pair of men's black combats turned up at the bottom to stop her tripping over them, and a jade green jumper which brought out the best in her similar coloured eyes. Finishing off her outfit with cobble boots, Hayz ran a quick hand through her hair again and headed out the front to open the doors. She had no queue yet, a mere few people walking past looked inside and raised their brows at a girl wearing trousers.
Still. No one took notice of a barmaid wearing a skirt, the redhead reminded herself, placing a "Now Open" sign on the door. Laughing a little to herself, Hayz headed back to behind the bar and waited. It wouldn't be long before she would have to hire some other staff, she thought to herself, hoping it would get busy before long.

Sometimes people just need a break from a stressful life. Alamea was no exception, and being an apprentice mage was very stressful. So she had donned normal citizen clothing and put away the apprentice robe to go out and walk around the city. Her brown shirt was flowing around small feet and the shirt she wore was hugging close to her skin. If anyone had seen her, they would never know where she came from. Careful blue eyes scanned the windows and doors of different stores around the town until they caught the open sign on the tavern. With a raised eyebrow, she gracefully strode over and entered the building.
It was empty to her surprise, an oddity in this city. Most taverns were usually full to capacity. It must be new, she thought to herself, scanning the building carefully. It was probably good there wasnt a lot of people around, she was 15 and had no intentions of running into any drunk people. So bodly striding up to the bar, she put a smile on her face. "Hello there, its a lovely place you have here." Her voice was cheery and calm, a trait she prized. The apprentice was a naturally happy person who lost her head only rarely, and that was a good thing for a mage. If one of those lost their head...well....
With another smile, the girl fingered the coins that were in a small bag that hung at her side. She wished to have something to drink, but nothing that would make her drunk, or have any alcohol at that. "Do you have anything a 15 year old can drink." The girl said with a laugh. The owner seemed nice and young. This may be a good tavern after all.

Viktor sat slumped at a corner table, looking disheveled and depressed. He had been drowning himself in alcohol ever since he had arrived in this forsaken city. His mind addled with horrific dreams.
All he could wonder was, what happened to Sieg?

Adrey slowly walked into the tavern. She needed a place to escape the cold, and with her thin cape around her shoulders it was hard to keep all the heat in. She had been traveling for days, not knowing where she was or where she was going. The only thing on her mind was to find a place she could setting down in. All the villages she had passed through have been either abandoned or did not welcome strangers. Her journey was so far long and endless, with no sucess in finding somewhere to stay. At times she would have to ride through the night and way into the day before a safe spot was found for her to rest.
Currently she was exhausted, it showed on her face but the hood she was wearing coverd that up for her. To make a good first impression it was best that no one say how tired she was. Even with her long journey, Adrey had somehow managed to keep her apparence quite presentable. There were only minor signs of a long journey, and Adrey would keep it that way. Her mother had always taught her to keep oneself presentable, no matter the situation.
So here she was, in a tavern, located in a place she had no familiarity to. Casually she stepped into the tavern and took an empty seat at a table, observing her surroundings. From what she say, it was quite empty at the moment.

Fera couldn't stand the crowd of the streets one moment longer so she quickly slipped into the first building that she could find. Pushing open the door she practically slammed it shut behind her to close off the noise. As she crossed to a seat in a far corner away from everyone her leather boots clicked on the hard floor. Sighing she slumped into a seat and kicked up her feet on the empty chair beside her.
Looking around she, of course, saw no one she knew but she did see something that made her laugh. One of the people in the tavern was wearing a cloak and appeared to be frigid with cold. To her Fera must look rediculous for she was wearing nothing but but brown leather leggings and alose white top, compared to her Artic homeland this weather was spring time.

Kaldaka had been roaming the streets of Avaren as normal when she came upon an inn. Slipping in with a sigh of relief, she sat down to rest her weary feet. A shudder swept through her body as she bent her head down and closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down before she called for a cup of wine and some chicken. When it came, she started eating, hungry now that the pain had passed.

Hayzie smiled at the various people entering, some looking excited, others confused, others simply seemed to want somewhere warm to sit away from the cold, blustery weather outside. Looking at the young girl who had been the first to enter, Hayz replied and looked around as she did so. "I have... tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water or juice?"
The redhead knew it was going to be mostly adults visiting her business, but was careful to cater for all ages, due to advertising as being a family friendly Tavern, at least until 6pm. After then, the barlass made no promises as she didn't know any of the locals yet, nor how they would react to different circumstances.
There was no doubt she was going to have to break up some kind of drunken bar fight some time along the line.
Looking around the cosy Tavern as people came in and took seats, maybe waiting for friends, or even just to meet new people, Hayzie asked: "So, can I get you anything?"
