The market place was like usual. It was filled with bustling people, the babble of many people talking, the clomp of horses hooves, the shouts of merchants and shopkeepers trying to sell their products, and the noises of animals like pigs, ducks and goats.
Mira, wearing small purple, slipper-like shoes and a soft lilac morning gown with a jeweled neckline and sleeves, and a darker purple satin cloak, was walking around peering at the wares that were being sold. A small handbag was clutched in her hand, containing a good handful of gold incase she found anything that caught her eye.
And something did catch her eye. A merchant selling jewelry had a bracelet made of purple stones, with a clasp of what looked like silver, lying on the table in front of him along with many other jewels and things she’d like.
She started toward the merchant when a great gust of wind swept through the area, ripping her cloak from her shoulders and blowing it away, dancing it on the wind tauntingly in front of her. She chased after it for a good minute before the wind whipped it down a side alley. Not thinking about where she was going, Mira followed it for another long minute or two before the wind gave up and dropped it on the ground.
Mira rushed forward and picked it up; starting to dust off the dirt that it had gained from being thrown on the ground. That finished as best as it could be done, Mira straightened up and realized, with a strange twinge of fear, that she wasn’t exactly sure which way she had come. And more importantly, she was one of the small alleys that usually were home to the type of people she didn’t want to come across.

A man started to walk towards her and came to a stop in front of her. He was bulky and tall, with black hair and eyes. "Are you lost?" he asked here in a kind manner. He looked at her hoping she wouldn't scream or try to run and get even more lost.

Mira gazed around the alley, circling in the same spot on her feet trying to figure out which way she had come. She really felt like an idiot now- running after her cloak and then getting lost in the worst place possible.
Suddenly, a voice spoke from behind her, and she jumped from surprise, spinning around. Behind her, less than a meter away, was a tall, rather bulky man. He had dark hair, probably black, and dark eyes. They seemed kind, actually, so Mira hesitated and didn’t scream and try and run away. She did, however, take a few quick steps backwards.
“Yes... I, I think so at least.” she replied slowly, still not trusting this stranger completely.

Alezand strode up behind Kosuka, " Oi, you've startled her, Kosuka. Where are your manners? Pardon us, miss, but may we help you?" Jozlyn was wearing his new robes. The forrest green tunic with a royal blue jerkin and sash. A navy blue cloak bracketed his slender frame. Drab green dungarees covered his legs, ending in a pair of polished, shin high, black leather boots. His hood was down, showing his sand colored hair, long, ending in a pony tail of several inches. He wore a smile both in his blue eyes as well as on his face. Bowing, "My name is Alezand Jozlyn, from the Raptor clan of the Allaine Order. And you are...?"

Kosuka leaned against the wall and listned to the two talk. He was new around the city and had little experience of what he heard was "small talk." He also put his blanket on the ground so he could rest his arms for the time being.

Almost as quickly as she had stepped away from the large man, another one walked up. This one was jovial, and smiled at her. She instantly felt slightly relieved, he seemed much more friendly and welcoming. “Yes, some help would really be appreciated.” she replied politely, gazing at the other man out of the corner of her eyes. It seemed that Alezand knew him.
She turned toward the first man she had met and decided to apologize. “I’m sorry for being rude and acting… startled.” she told him, searching for the right word. That apology been said, she turned back to the second, the one wearing a forest green tunic with a royal blue jerkin and sash. A navy blue cloak bracketed his slender frame, and drab green dungarees covered his legs, ending in a pair of polished, shin high, black leather boots. His hood was down, but it showed some sandy colored hair.
“Mira… Mira Nightingale.” she replied with a soft smile. “It’s nice to meet you.” she added.

"ah, a pleasure to meet you, m'lady. Kosuka, come, surely I have taught you some hospitality. Help me guide this fair young lady." Turning back to her, "I appologize, Kosuka is a good man. We have only recently met the night before, but I assure you, we mean you no harm." He took hand in his gloved one. "come, this not the best place for you, even with two good warriors at your side." And he began to guide out of the alleys.

As Alezand called her m’lady, and then fair young lady, Mira’s cheeks reddened slightly. “Please, no formalities.” she told him quickly, shaking her head to emphasize what she said. She couldn’t understand why everyone called her by her title- even though that was proper courtesy; she only tolerated it while she was around her immediate family.
“Yes… I understand.” she replied again. “I just panicked for a moment, but I assure you, I’m fine now. And if you’d show me the way, I would really appreciate it.” she replied politely, accepting Alezand’s hand after a moment of hesitation.
“Warriors?” she repeated with some degree of surprise. She seemed to be meeting so many lately- warriors and mages alike! “What kind of warrior?” she pressed eagerly, just as intrigued as before.

"Well, I am the last of a legendary warrior order known as the Allaine. I'm working to rebuild the noble clan. I serve the people and the kingdom. I am where ever there is trouble. I seek out and destroy evil. All the while, I'm looking for others that posess the quality of an Allaine knight. I'll eventually take an apprentice and start a academy. Someday..." Alezand enlightened his new companion. "So no matter the place, I'll fight for those who can't fight for themselves."

"I am a warrior raised from a creature named Akki. They taught me and raised me from a child. I have mastered their fighting style and one that I have created also." he looked towards her and bowed down to her to show his manners.

Hidden by the darkest shadows that wrapped like a cloak around her, a young looking female watched, a slight smirk curling her othewise doll-like heart shaped mouth. She flexed her wrists in their fingerless leather gloves and the soft chimes of metal rang out, barely audible.

Alezand froze for a moment. In a flash, he drew his long sword and spun around. The bright silver blade swung into the dark shadows of the back alley, stopping short of the hidden eavesdropper. "May I help you?" Alezand remarked. There was no malice in his voice, but the strength was there in place of a threat. He stood in a foward guard. "Show yourself..." He ordered...

Saphira decided to go as a raven. Black phoenixes were certainly more beautiful and magically powerful, but ravesn were common. So less likely to atract unwanted attention. IN this case, the raven was small, sleek and had a glittering, intelligent eye. It landed soundlessly on the young mans shoulders. She needed to speak to him.

Alezand blinked twice, looking at the bold avian. "hmm, you're an interesting critter. What is it you want?" He had a respect for all animals, but his instincts and senses told him that this was no bird. There was something oddly human eminating from the creature, and He had sensed the presence in the shadows as a person in hiding. In fact, there was still someone there...

”The Allaine?” Mira asked Alezand, never having heard that name before. She voiced her thought. “I’m never heard of the Allaine before. But it does sound awfully exciting.” she admitted with a small smile.
The urge to leave her home for an adventure was even more pressing now. Everyone had some kind of job, or craft. Everyone except herself, of course. She silently cursed her noble birth once more and wished that she was born into a less prominent family. Then she’d have much more freedoms, and be able to do whatever she wanted.
Kosuka, who had been silent for a good few minutes, spoke again, telling her of his fighting experience. When he bowed she smiled, realizing that she was a fool for thinking him scary when he had first appeared.
Suddenly, without warning, Alezand drew his sword and spoke to the shadows. “I-is something wrong?” she voiced softly. “I don’t see anyone… or anything.” she added after a moment, not really wanting to get caught up in a squabble of some sort.
Then, even more surprising, a raven landed on Alezand’s shoulder. Having absolutely no idea what was going on Mira took a few steps away from the group.
