Duilya sat quietly on the city wall, her back against a pillar, it wasn’t the safest sport in the city but it was as quiet as the city really got. Sitting in silence sat with her third bit of parchment for the previous two laid in ash one the ground next to her. A quill sat firmly resting against her mouth as tried to concentrate.
The world below was so small up there… she could see emerald and golden fields reach out in the distance, and the dark forest and mountain ranges. She had pin pointed the direction where her home would be. In her right hand she continuously burst a small flame and the extinguished it, it still wasn’t impressive but the flame was starting to get stronger and took less energy and concentration to call it forward. It was starting to get into a boredom habit or thinking habit similar to the twisting of a strand of hair.
She just couldn’t understand why this was so hard for her to do… she had drawn so many more difficult things in the past such as the day she went to the beach and trying to draw each detail to try and make the waves alive yet of course each wave that appeared disappeared before she could really study it. Thinking back to that day, she realized how she had always made herself impartial to the picture and always wanted to show the things as a recreation not any of herself.
“I wonder what a emotional picture would look like” She said quietly, as hearing the many footsteps from the market place and all the bargaining started to get annoying. With the thought of finding out what an emotion picture would be like she remembered Nathaniel telling her about Fraith’s… she still found it unfair that someone who used magic could be better than someone who had practice all their life yet it would be interesting for just once… it might show her something she didn’t want to see but it wouldn’t be something she would plan to show anyone. Finally deciding that this is something she needed to do and not just curiousity started rummaging though her page trying to find a spell yet not knowing what to do with it once she found it.

Camulus had started off on the other side of the city wall. Walking silently he was practicing his balancing so he could be even sturdier on his feet in a fight than he was already. Slowly he made his way around. He came to the area above the market place, it was less than quiet. Looking down at the clamour of the streets below he came upon the young girl suddenly. She sat on the wall so still he thought she was a statue, until she moved suddenly shuffling through her papers.
Camulus had been taught to respect women no matter their age so when he saw the concentration in her face he smiled and thought it polite to sit and talk with such a beauty as she was.
"Hello miss. What a wonderful spot you have found here? may I join you!" He stood with his back to the sun so as his shadow shade her parchment.

Duilya looked up at the new comer with a little curiosity, putting her book gently onto her lap, she hadn’t gotten very far with her search and as she had found the Fraith spell and requirements she still seemed unable to perform it. So once more in frustration she had created a small flame from her hand and burn the parchment to ash. Watching the young man balancing towards her she smiled shyly and then looked back at the fields. “Of course you can, its not as peaceful as some places but it has the best view” She shrugged as watching a two birds twisting and turning in the air, suddenly regretting the wasting of her parchments she sighed… that would have been a beautiful picture. “So what brings you up here?” She asked as studying his features, it was a weird habit but it was in a sense how she saw the world as a series of pictures waiting to be drawn.

"Me?," he said taking his seat in on movement,"I'm training well in away building my skills! How about you whats and young flower like you doing sitting on a vancant wall?" Camulus had not expected to seem sarcastic but he had a habit of saying the wrong things around the opposite sex no matter there age. He had a hurtful incounter with an old begger woman one day that saw him being beaten by her walking stick.

Duilya looked up sharply trying to work out his meaning but then laughed, what a city; she had just been a poor farm girl and now she had been called an angel and a flower. “See the fields in that direction” Duilya pointed towards a green pasture and golden fields, really all the land looked relatively the same but that was the direction of her old home. “I’m sketching it, or was…. It wasn’t working out, I was going to try a spell… just to see what an emotional sketch would be like…. A Fraith, I don’t know if you have ever heard of it, a friend told me about them about a week ago, but I’m not skilled enough and don’t have the requirements for it yet” She sighed “So you can see my failed attempts right there” She nodded towards a group of ash sitting to the side. “I can however summon fire, yet it’s the size a small fist at the moment” She laughed as suddenly realizing once again she had talked to much and had rudely taken over the conversation. She blushed and made an awkward cough. “Right,” She whispered to herself as looking back at the fields hoping the blush was missed. “I’m Duilya, Duilya Lorien, I’m guessing you are a warrior” She said basing her assumption on the fact he was studying his skills in balancing, but with second thought it could also be helpful for a mage to learn such things.

“Woes?” Duilya repeated in thought, and smiled knowing that it was a slip of the tongue and that she could make him regret ever using the word woes by her inquisitive nature, asking to many questions that were none of her business yet she decided to let it slip, if he wanted to talk to her about it then he could yet it would have to be his decision and not her prying. “Well this is the right place to come to. It will carry your aches and pains away, whatever kind they are” she shrugged as looking back at her empty page. It was useless, she new she couldn’t turn everything she did and saw into art yet it still disappointed her, looking up at Camulus a shy smile appeared on her face, her brown eyes glinted with inspiration, the harsh lines and character of his face were perfect, there was a depth with honour and courage. “Um this might seem a little strange but…” She paused becoming nervous and feeling more than a little foolish. “Would you allow me to sketch you?... I’m fairly quick and you don’t need to stay perfectly still either. Youfeel special usually I do in secret I’ve never asked if I could sketch someone… afterwards we can have some fun, I’ll show you around someplace or another. I could also keep you company as you train, I’m sure balance could help improve concentration” It was only after saying it that she realized that what she said could be taken in the wrong way yet she had meant it in the most innocent of ways and was only trying to bribe him.

Camulus looked upon the young girl rather confused that she would offer something only for him to sit there why she sketched him. "Its okay you know miss, you can sketch me but I do not need anything in return, maybe for you to sketch me and build your confidence is what you need. Might be why we have met." He smiled feeling a little stupid about the words that were spilling from his mouth.

Quickly grabbing out another sheet of paper and a quill out of her bag, and made herself more comfortable. The bright sun didn’t cause too many problems as she started to sketch out of rough outline. “If that all the payment you ask, I’ll be more than happy to try and oblige” She grinned as still concentrating for nothing else matter to her at that moment that the fine lines and smooth sheet of parchment. “It is an unusual place to meet someone, but I am honored to meet you” She lightly bit her lip as gazing up briefly to gain the less noticeable line that plagued the human face. Really humans, Duilya had found weren’t what you would call beautiful as she considered elves yet they had a character and a past that reflects from their faces that made them a piece of art in their own right. “So why don’t you tell me a little about yourself” She smiled trying to get a conversation going so things wont became an awkward silence.
