Kaldaka smiled. "Yes, it is. It's waiting for you on the table!" Moving over to the table, she stood for a moment, facing west in silence with bowed head before she sat down and asked the Lord's blessing on the food. Looking up towards David, she said softly, "The Standing is an old tradition in my family. We have never been sure where it came from, though some say it is a tradition from a land we originally came from. They called it Gondor."

"Gondor." David repeated with a smile, "That sounds familiar." He bowed his head when they prayed following her customs since he was her guest. He then looked at the food and then to her. He waited for her to be seated before himself. It was to show respect and good manner and if it was different from her traditions or that she believed that the guest should be seated first then he would seat himself.

She sat down with a smile, nodding for him to sit down as well, and then started serving him. Soon both plates were full, and she took a bite. "I'm very glad you came," she said with a smile. "And I hope you enjoy the meal." Then she started to eat, casting glances at David every so often, wondering how he liked the meal.

David nodded as he took his seat and accepted his plate. He looked over the delicous looking and smelling food. He took several bites. It tasted great. He took a few more bites and glanced at Kadalka. "I'm glad that I could make it." he said between mouthfuls of food, "And this food tastes great."

Kaldaka smiled and relaxed. It looked like everything was going well. After not too long, everything was finished, and Kaldaka got up to bring in the desert and two cups of coffee. "Do you drink coffee or tea?" she inquired as she placed the mugs down. "Because I can make tea just as easily."
