House of the Righteous and Noble Augustine

[David Augustine]

David stood outside a mansion. It was decorated beautifully and wondered if the directions he was given was right. The house however had not been used for sometime. He entered the gates slowly and walked up to the door.

He saw something sticking outside next to the door. It was covered with dirt and vegetation. He cleared it away and found a plaque that read:

The House of the Righteous and Noble Augustine.

After reading the plaque, he stood up and stepped back. He looked up at the manor and he knew that he had some work to do.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"Lovely to see you again, David..." Guin said flipping herself over the gates. She no longer wore a dress but a cropped jacket made of black leather. A thick leather strip covered her chest and she wore black pants and boots. Her hair fell down her back in a neat braid, her bow strapped to her back.

[David Augustine]

David turned to face Guinevere. He smiled kindly to her and replied, "It's lovely to see you again, Lady Guinevere. I see you're more dressed like a warrior now. Your appearance suits you. It shows your beauty and your strength of being a warrioress." He turned again and looked at the house. "As you can see I'm going to have to fix this place and right now I don't have the money to do such a task. At least all of it, I might be able to get it cleaned and habitable."

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"Thanks..." she said smiling and tilting her head to the side as she examined the house. "this house is very beautiful... the Viperatus Manor is huge from my father's attempts to seem better than everyone else." she said with a light shrug of her shoulders. "Only part of that house I really love is the garden out back."

[David Augustine]

"Indeed, this house is old. It goes back to the founding of this city." he explained to her, "I never knew it was here until recently."

He took out a key and unlocked the door. He then opened it with a loud creak. He knocked some cobwebs off of the door and entered the enterance way. He grabbed a candle nearby and lit it. He observed the old manor. It seemed perfectly preserved except for the thick layer of dust that was everywhere.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

She leaned against the door way, examing the house. "Looks kind of like my house..." she said thoughtfully, resting one hand on her hip and the other on the handle of her sword.

[David Augustine]

"What do you mean by that?" he inquired her, "Do you mean the architecture or the state that it is in?" He entered the foyer took a left into what appeared to be a living area. He had the candle raised high for maximum illumination. He would light lamps and candles to provide more light as he passed them by. He wiped away some cobweb and dust near the fireplace and started a fire in there with some of the wood that was in a pile nearby.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"I mean the architecture..." she said walking in a little further. "You don't mind if I come in do you?" she asked smiling. "I've got nothing to do since I've already trained for today and I can't seem to locate Riley." It was clear by the look in her eyes what she thought about Riley for her eyes seemed to glitter as she spoke his name.

[David Augustine]

"I don't mind at all." he replied, "So this Riley. Who is he? You seem to have feelings for him." He went over to a chair and cleaned it off so she could take a seat if she desired. He started cleaning off different things from the dust and cobwebs. He then cleaned off another seat and sat down on it. He set his spear next to the chair on the ground. He observed her and her actions.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"His name's Riley Lambert... he's a warrior mastering in the art of the sword." she said smiling as she sat her bow beside her and took a seat. "And yes... I do have feelings for him." she said with another soft smile.

[David Augustine]

"A master of the sword. I'll have to see about that." he replied, "And that is good that you have found someone that you like and from the sounds of it, he likes you too. May God bless your futures." He looked up toward the ceiling and then around the room. He saw portaits and different things such as the the family's coat of arms. The coat of arms had a cross that a dragon was wrapped around with a sword on one side and a spear on the other each pointing away from the center.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

"Thank you... has anyone caught your eye since you've been here?" she asked, looking around. She absent mindedly twisted a piece of hair around her finger as she did. She smiled, setting her gaze back upon him.

[David Augustine]

"I've seen a few lovely women, but none so far has really caught my eye." David told her, "But thus far you are the closest one. And since you are already have a betrothed, I won't interfer with it. There is a woman for every man and vise-versa." He then got up again and grabbed the same candle as he did ealier and left into another room. He lit the lamps and candles as he did in the living room. This was obviously the dining hall. It was rather large and nicely decorated. He saw a pair of double doors towards the end, which he guessed lead to the kitchen.

[Guinevere Viperatus]

She was slightly shocked by this but shrugged it off. "I blame you mother..." she said glancing up. "You and your curse..." she said with a light smile. She jumped up and strapped her bow to her back, following him. "This is a nice room..." she said, walking up behind him and resting her hands upon her hips.

[David Augustine]

"Yes, it's quite nice. I'm guessing that kings used to visit here as well as the castle. Most dining halls aren't decorated this nice, or at least from what I've seen." He continued to walk along the long table that was at the center of the room and toward the double doors. He pushed them and looked in. He was correct this was the kitchen where the food was prepared. He planned on hiring servants again to bring this place back to life, once he had gotten the neccessary funds.
