Duilya looked around the library thankful that it looked empty; she was only learning to use magic and as such didn’t like the thought of being seen confused at the most simple spells. It didn’t take long for her to find a collection of books from all sorts of styles of magic. Finding a table as quickly as she could due to the pain in her arm from the weight. Here Duilya sat surrounded by books, all about the different styles and spells in which there were to learn… if she was going to be strong she would need to learn the abilities to make her strong. There seemed to be so many, the first book she gazed at made her skin crawl as the first page held a man in a black cloak arms outstretched as a man with flesh hanging off his bones was clawing out of the ground, necromancy which as soon as glancing at that book quickly decided she didn’t have the stomach to work with the dead and it seemed to go against the very laws of nature… the thought of some one raising her father and mother from the dead and disturbing their rest made her shiver in disgust. The next book was about the priesthood yet it quickly bored her she had never been very religious and the thought of joining an order wasn’t what she had in mind to make her stronger. She did however find the idea of becoming a seer interesting, how would it be to be able to see the future and able to warn people yet at the same time what kind of ramifications would come from that… what would she do if she saw her own or someone she care for death, would she have the wisdom enough to know if it was better to change the future or let it ran its course. No being a seer would be to much responsibility. “Will I ever find the right one for me” it was then she saw the last to stream lines of magic on was that of druidism which while interesting and appealing it wasn’t really overly her and then there was the elementalist which her eyes widened in curiosity, how would it be to be able to control the elements of nature which held at one moment could be helpful and make people happy yet the next trouble and powerful… she could use it to help people and have justice as well. She started to read and after realizing that elements were something that would just happen not something learnt. So she sat there in the room clicking her fingers trying to get a small spark of something she hoped to create a small tornado or perhaps a icicle or a small flame. She didn’t hear the sound of someone entering.

Pushing the large, oaken double-doors of the Library opened, Rith nonchalantly entered, his cloak enveloping most of his body. He had come to continue his own research, but of course, so he made his way around the towering shelves to the books of animal biology. Scanning from the selection the library had, he picked a few books he hadn't already read through cover-to-cover, then after tossing his cloak over one of his shoulders, he tucked the books underneath his exposed arm and made his way around to the arcane section of the Library's stock. With an idle "Hmmm." he traced a finger across the spines of several books on a shelf until he found a weighty tome covering conjuration magic and pulled it to join the other books he had gathered.
After accquiring his research material, Rith walked out to find himself a place to sit, noticing on the way some other arcane books were out of the shelf, which only suggested there were other people here, good. He continued making motions towards the table, spotting a young woman with a plethora of books around her, heavy studier, also good. Putting up his usual friendly smile, he walked up beside her and asked " Good day there Miss, would you mind if I join you?"

Duilya had just been reading about the different known sorcerer and element controlling… one in which a sorceress had been able to fend off an small army with only using her fire element by creating it into an image of a giant Hydra… of course she had been high in level and power but it was still impressive and the thought of being able to do similar things made her smile. She was so entranced in the book that when a voice pierced though her trace, she jumped and a red blush quickly lifted on her face. “Oh, um, of course, Duilya my names, just I was ….,” She stuttered still in shock and unsure about what to say and her embarrassment and being startled grew. All of a sudden though she began to laugh at noticing her sentence had made very little sense. “I’m sorry; let me start that again… Of course you can join me and my name’s Duilya, hopefully you could understand that a little better” She smiled as looking back to her book where pictures of someone using an ice shield. She watched the man from the side. “So you are?” she asked casually, she had never been that great at small talk, she found it was the time between which a person judges whether or not your interesting enough to continue bothering with.

Rith laughed slightly, amused by how flustered she became by him, he himself had been suprised a similar way in this very library before...so this is what it was like on the other end of the altercation. Moving on he sat down in a chair beside her, placing his books up on the table and looking back to her. " A pleasure, Miss Duilya, and I am Rith." he replied to her with the same warm smile gracing his cheeks as he invitingly extended his hand out to her. The image inside her book had caught the corner of his eye and with a more direct glance he saw the image of the man creating his glacial defender. " Ah, so you are a mage as well I see?" he asked, as his eyes moved back from the page and back to her.

Duilya laughed seeing that he had notice her embarrassment and shook his hand. The room was rather cool and she shivered, maybe looking at ice pictures didn’t help the matter. < " Ah, so you are a mage as well I see?"> Duilya looked up at Rith’s face, it had such a friendly glow to it that seemed to warm the room she couldn’t help but feel a little relaxed. “I suppose that’s what I’m meant to be… but I’m not very good, I think the best I can do might be to light a match and I haven’t even attempted that yet” Duilya rolled her deep brown eyes. As flicking a few pages ahead. “Thinking of that maybe there is a beginners guide to this stuff or meditations in which might help in finding the flame of your soul” she smirked as reciting a very corny line about training to become a sorcerer. “So what brings you into the dark depths of the library where only the brave and those not allergic to scrolls may enter” She asked only barely taking her eyes off her page.

"Well, in a sense, I'm here for the same reason as you. I'm doing research for my craft." Rith replied gesturing to his pile of books. "So you say you have no path? No focus? That truly is a shame." Rith stated concerned for her, hunching forward a bit and cupping his chin between his thumb and forefinger.

“But I do, I’ve just started learning and acknowledge with the lack of a better word magic inside me…. I have also found that if I have the abilities I’ll be a sorceress but from what I understand that study is more of natural abilities that have been trained and developed rather than spells and knowledge from books…. So I don’t yet know if I have the natural abilities” She didn’t know if her explanation had made sense, but it would have to do. She hoped this would take the look of concern off Rith’s face and return it back to the smile from before. “So what is your path?” She asked now curious and a little uneasy feeling like Rith was almost judging her. She hated first impressions, cause you can never get them back and you never know when a person would met you for the first time and so create their own first impression.

He straightened back out, he felt better that she was trying, what more could she do without someone to guide her. Shaking off any uneasiness he might of had, he smiled again and replied to her question " My path? Well, I'd think it better if I showed you." He felt explaining his craft was just not enough to accurately convey it to someone new to the arcane. So, reaching into a pouch on his belt, Rith pulled out a small, white ball of fluff and presented before Duilya. Shutting his eyes, Rith concentrated on an image in his mind, focusing tighter on the form as the object in his hand erupted in a cloud of smoke with a loud "BAMPF!" which echoed throughout the cavernous library. Rith's eyes then opened as the smoke cleared, a form flew out from it where the object used to be and landed on Rith's shoulder. It was a small Falcon that he had conjured from the "Puffer" as he called it, he smiled back to her again as the Falcon peered around the room here and there, shaking out its wings before folding them back up casually.

Duiyla looked at the white ball with curiosity and also a little doubt, what could this have to be with magic, she moved her hand a little forward to touch it, she could never harness the rule of not to touch things you don’t understand. But with a loud bang, she quickly moved her hand back under the table, glad the Rith had been concentrating so hard he hadn’t seen her. The smoke made her nose inch a little but when it cleared up and a facon with a hook beak sat on Rith’s shoulders she couldn’t help but look impressed. “So either illusion or conjurer…. Will it bite?” She asked as staring straight at the bird, this not really waiting for an answer she moved her hands towards it, she just wanted to no if it was real or not. “How long did it take you to learn that?”

" I assure you, this falcon is as real as they come, but fear not, it wouldn't attack you unless they or I view you as a threat." He replied watching her hands warily make their way to the falcon, taking a moment to gently pat the Falcon's breast himself saying "Isn't that right?" to it in the manner one would speak to a pet, to which was responded to a stray call from the falcon. " As for your question, I learned the fundamentals of this craft in...Oh...I'd say most of a year when I was a young teenager, since then I've been studying the craft to be able to create more complex and larger creatures. To be more specific, I learned how to conjure animals like this in about 2 years." He said, possibly rambling, but he again felt it necessary to go into such detail, without it being gruelingly long and boring.

Duilya beamed back. “It’s quite amazing.” And then more shyly. “I’m not totally hopeless I do know a few spells but they are just standard ones that use to help me back at my farm… but its nothing to this” She looked down at her books; a tired look crossed her face. “I didn’t wait to long right, I will still be able to well become a like those in these books…. It just might take me a little longer” She half asked yet at the same time trying to talk herself into believing that. A determined look crossed her face as she started to concentrate on the palm on her hand, her eyes focused and staring straight at it… she would make something happen, if it killed her. She thought of a small light inside her growing larger, stronger and brighter, it was glowing fire and hot, in till a small flame burst into her palm, it didn’t burn her and wasn’t that impressive, but she still held her concentration for little over a minute and it blow out. It wasn’t anything like the falcon, but pride still erupted from her chest as she began to get all excited. “Did you see that, I did it, It worked” She loved as just being able to resist giving the stranger a hug.

He listened to her question and took it under little consideration. " Not at all Miss Duilya, after all, it's not your age that matters. All that matters to Magicians like us is if you have enough up here..." He said tapping his temple with a finger as he paused in his sentence "...and enough in here." he concluded moving his hand and patting his chest with a fist over his heart. " A corny method of conveyance, but it works just fine I think." He remarked on himself with a smile.
His face change from a smile to intense interest as he noticed her beginning to focus her mana to her palm. He continued to watch her until the candle-size flame appeared in her hand, which caused a calm smile to curl across his face as well. "Fantastic!" He replied to her happily, glad for her accomplishment.

Duilya looked up at Rith glad that he was there; the entire library seemed different now, some what brighter and more cheerful. Her face glowed in pride and hope. “Thank-you…Does it always feel like this? I mean when you learn to do something new, even if it isn’t exactly impressive” She looked up at the falcon again a grinned. “Who knows maybe one day I could even do that” she laughed and then coughed in an awkward manner, noticing she was being rude by taking control over the conversation. “So what was your first spell? Or ability?” She asked curiously.

"Accomplishments are always joyful Duilya, of course." He replied with a smile. Good, she was starting to have confidence in herself again, that's all that mattered at the moment. Her question caused him to think back a ways to his days of training with his master, Magus. This trip back in time caused his concentration to divert which, in turn, caused the Falcon to pop into a puff a smoke again with a similar "BAMPF!" than before, the Puffer from whence it came from, wafting onto his shoulder and rolled into his hand. " Well really the only craft I've known is this one, Animism as my master called it. The art of calling upon the power of animals, summoning, shapeshifting, you see...though I've always been a little sketchy on the shapeshifting part, myself...but I digress." He rambled, rubbing the back of his head embarrassed, recalling the ordeal of having a wolf's tail out of his backside atop the academy roof.

"Still, you are very good at your art."
A large tidy pile of books seemed to float up then move aside, to reveal Nathaniel. He closed the volume he had been reading. "Me? I can only do simple things like levitatings spells." he laughed shortly and came over. "Sorry. I didn't mean to eaves drop. I was just...there." He waved a hand vaguely in the direction he had been sitting in. "I couldn't help noticing the noise though." he smiled, turned towards the young man. "Hello. I don't believe we have met. I'm Nathaniel Siparti."
