It's Just Like Magic

[Persephone DeVone]

Persephone had found her way to the Academy with a few problems. She wasn't used to growing up in a large city, and she missed the small village of her childhood more and more with each passing moment.

It felt as if the world was pushing in on her, and she barely think with all the people talking and laughing, and everyone so close...so compact.

Yet when she reached the academy people were less scarce and some seemed to even avoid the place. She couldn't help but get a feeling of foreboding as she got closer, but she wasn't going to leave. Not when she was so close to fitting in.

As Sephe made her way to the double doors, the small girl pushed them open. Her ancient eyes took in everything, and scanned the room she had entered. Her small five foot body was dwarfed, and she felt like a aunt climbing a mountain.

"Hello?"

She called out to no one in particular.

The halls to this place were empty, and it made Adelaide upset. She always wished to meet new people and she figured she could at the academy. She had visited many times before but never really did anything educational there. Her time was usually better spent in the library or the fields.

So she walked around, examining the corridors. She had on her city cloths today, a white dress with a red almost corset type shirt. Her hair was pulled back behind her shoulders and she held a wrapped around her waist for it was cool when she left her home in the morning. As she continued to walk she heard a voice echo off the walls.

She followed the voice, running until she saw a tiny girl at the door. She was truly small, even for Adelaide who was no giant. But this girl definitely made Adelaide feel like one. Shaking her head she walked over to the girl and returned her greeting. "Hello there." She said with a smile. Already Adelaide could tell this girl was not custom to the city life. "New here?" She said with a quizzical look.

"Yes...are you a student here?"

Persephone deseperatley hoped she was. It would be nice to have met another student today, and if it was a teacher she had a feeling that she didn't give off such a good impression of what might have been expected of her.

And she also hoped that this girl was kind, and that she might prove to be a friend when Sephe herself had none. She desperately wanted the company of others, and yet she wished to be alone at the same time. Her mind was truly torn in two.

But if she had to pick one, she was certain that she would have picked a friend from the Academy to a quiet life with no one at all. Yet she yearned for both with all her heart. She would just have to find the balance some where in between.

[Rith Matou]

Rith had been making his way about town, a usual small jaunt for him, taking in what the town had to see before he decided to go into the Academy. Feeling satisfied, Rith turned about and made his way to the Academy, which could not have been more than a three minute walk from where he was.

Upon reaching the building, Rith looked upwards to take in more of the bulding, a soft "Wow..." escaping his mouth. Being raised isolated in a forest, Rith was never totally used to towns, much less large buildings. As he approached the door, Rith spotted the pair of sorceresses-to-be, and with a friendly smile he greeted them "Good day, ladies."
