Enelya sat silently beneath the cherry blossom on the stone wall that surrounded the edge of the academy. She sat there letting the wind toss her curtain of curls around. Silently she welcomed the calm of the air around her. Picking up a weltered blossom she cupped it in her hands and when open the blossom was in full healthy bloom once again.
The clip clop of horse hoves on the flagstone path turned Enelya attention to the approaching rider.

Kaldaka's horse walked along. Pulling it to a stop, Kaldaka surveyed the figure under the cherry tree. "Do you mind?" she said as she dismounted from her horse, leaving him to walk alone without a tie. He nickered and nuzzled her before moving off and starting to crop the grass.

Enelya gave the warrior girl a look of suprise. Swinging herself of the wall on to the flagstone pathway, Enelya didn't answer the girl till she had straightened out gown and re-organized her stray curls.
"Do I mind, what?" Enelya had no idea whether the girl intended on being rude or whether she had just mistaken her.

"If I stay here for a moment," Kaldaka explained as she sat down on the stone wall. "I've always loved cherry trees in bloom, don't you?"

"Well yes, but it seems this young ones blossoms are fading quicker than they should," Enelya said taking yet another dying blossom and refreshing it.
Standing under the blossom tree while the young woman sat on the wall, Enelya turned and turned in her emerald dress as the wind blow the blossoms around. Stopping when she was dizzy, she smiled up at the younger girl.
"if only life could be as beautiful as these blossoms and as serene as the wind!"

"If only. But there are those miss, who will shame the beauty of the most esquisite of blossoms." Using a simple levitating spell, he bewitched a few blossoms situated at the top of the cherry tree to flot down, in graceful spirals, the settle artfully in the young ladys' hair.
He approached, a pleasant smile on his face, carrying a large, library volume under his right arm. "Hello ladies." he greeted them, nodding his head very slightly.

"Why, hello Nathaniel," Kaldaka said, greeting him with pleasant smile. "Yes, it would be wonderful if life could be like that, but unfurtunately, it isn't." A slight shadow crossed her face, but it left as quickly as it came, and she said with a smile, "Aye, the wind is serene sometimes, but sometimes it isn't, and what then?" Her tone was playful, her words serious, and her face an odd mixture of the two as she spoke.

Nathaniel thought for a moment. Somehow, the personalities or the moods of this situation didn't quite mould together...didn't quite fuse. But then it spiraled, like one darkness and one light together that somehow learnt to co exist like so many others in the galaxies before it. Like the will to create and destroy those you have created. He waved a hand homourlessly. Then twisted his fingers in a simple, but strange pattern. 13, quick turns. The blossoms wilted before their eyes.
"Then miss, the beauty shall wilt doth winter come though the cherry blossoms are still in full bloom."

"Aye, and a swordswoman can do nothing against it. But winter must always change to spring, though it last for years, and spring to summer, and summer to autumn, and so on, for the season will remain for always and ever." Her head tilted, she said, "But if darkness be light, and light be darkness, knowest thou the answer to this riddle?"

He laughed solemly. "Well. I suppose logic would say that they will eliminate eachother. Nothing. But I have a feeling logic doesn't have anything to do with this riddle." He shook his head. "What is the answer?"

"If life were death, and death were life, then evil would reign in Avaren. That is the answer to my riddle, though it's not so much of a riddle as a supposing." She sighed slightly, cupping a cherry blossom in her hand, gazing at it's perfect beauty while the wind whipped her black hair. "So perfect and so small."

Enelya stood in deep thought as the echo of her companies voices faded. her mind wander in the depth of her soul searching for nothing but yet everything at the same time.
Enelya opened her mouth a spoke what she knew what rested so silently in the old soul she cared.
"If light and darkness did not exsist there would be no world, if birth and death did not exsist no advancements would be made. If sickness vansished form the undying world we would have no reason to grow. If love and hatred did not so much as touch the surface of this world there would be no feeling no acknowledgement of what is good kind or beautiful. So them what would the purpose be to have such beauty in a simple blossom for it would go unnoticed as would the beauty of a soul."
Enelya change of mood suprised even herself looking at the blossom tree she smile and gave a small blow covering it once again with endless blossoms.

Nathaniel didn't speak for a long while, silence covering his mind like thousands of tiny droplets of morning dew, mist swirling like shadows upon a water's edge. "Poetry can never express the true nature of something..." he said, kind of as an after thought. The sentence hung in the air, like the mist and waters in his mind.

Nathaniel slid to sit at the base of the cherry tree. He breathed in the soft, soothing scent of the fresh and sun shone petals. It calmed the soul and everything else around hiim seemed to fade away, the noises, the senses...like a faded dream that seemd just beyong your grasp...fading into your memory.
