Soft footsteps could be heard. That is, if you could hear a pin drop. She walked, almost silently, over the tall grass. Her sword that was placed in her sheat jangled softly and patted against her pale skin where her shirt did not cover. Her eyes were closed as she made her way to a small headstone. She seemed to know where she was going...as if she had gone the same way plenty of times. She had to admit, she knew her way around the cemetary. A bouqet of daisies were clutched in her right hand that dangled at her side. Her head was lowered.
She stopped suddenly and her eyes shot open. She sniffed the air, her soulful emerald-flecked blue eyes scanned the area. She lowered her head again and crouched low in the grass, next to a tiny headstone. No one would have noticed it unless them happened to be walking by and stubbed their toe on it. This angered Seremela. She narrowed her eyes and ran her fingers over the dusty stone. She lay the flowers in front of the stone and sucked in a deep breath. She closed her eyes again and bowed her head. She said nothing but thoughts swirled in her head. The cool breeze tossed her heavy braid of copper colored hair over her shoulder. She scratched alittle dirt from the headstone and then read them over in her head. "Tathar Vardamir" My brother

His eyes had caught sight of her as she approached the cemetary. He decided to follow at a distance. It would be difficult for him to blend with his surroundings. His white armor made him stand out more than anything else. Entered the cemetary and saw her at a tombstone. He followed walked as quietly as possible towards her.
His sword was at his side and his spear on his back. He was a member of the Augustine family. He was David. His brown hair was short but thick. His blue eyes were calm and filled with curiousity. He looked over her shoulder and read what it said. He didn't say anything at first. And decided to leave her in peace. But he couldn't help it. "A family member of yours?" David asked her.

((We'll say this is before the thread at the lake))
Seremela sucked in another breath through clenched teeth. She knew she had heard soft footsteps behind her. She did not turn to him. She just continued to run her fingers softly over the hard stone. She didn't do well socailly with other people, more used to fighting them, but she tried to be nice. She tugged at her braid. Her lips quivered as she thought about her brother. Her little brother. My brother...he died trying to protect me...when I was supposed to be the one to protect him... She said quietly and shamefully in her eerily soft voice.
She had not yet turned around to see who he was or what he looked like. She was curious, as always, but just didn't turn around.

"I see." David replied, "I am sorry for your loss. Is there anything that I might be able to help you with?" He changed his sight from the gravestone to the warrioress that was knelt before it. He studied her. When his eyes laid on the sword he studied what he could of it. He couldn't get that much from it since it was in it's sheath. "It must be painful for you to talk about him. I can sympathize with you a little with that. I lost someone dear to me at a very young age."

Seremela stood in a hurry. She felt eyes studying her. She slowly turned around, her eyes sparkling, her full lips slightly parted. She looked the man over, studied him as he had done to her. He looked nice...and quite handsome. Who have you lost? She said softly. I don't mean to pry...you don't have to tell me, I don't care....I'm just curious She said though she knew that she did care...at least somewhat.
She continued to tug at her braid. The metal plates that pressed against her chest reflected the sun and shown into her face. She cringed and held a hand over her eyes to shade them from the light.

"I've lost my father." he told her. He looked down at the ground feeling the sorrow filling him. "It was about fifteen years ago. During one of the last Crusades, my father lead the group called the Crimson Brigade. He was never heard from again after that."
He looked back up and into her eyes. "That is why I'm a warrior now. I seek to find out what happened to my father."

Her eyes lowered to the ground as soon as they met with his. She lowered her hand as a dark cloud moved over the sun. She found herself wondering about her mother and father. She shook her head scornfully. I haven't lost my father...my parents disappeared...left me...I hated them... She said. She realized how often she paused to think up more words. Why was she working so hard for this man?

"I understand." David told her, "Many people tend to hate their parents when they are abandoned by them. I would have felt the same probably." He didn't have much to say and couldn't find things to say that well either. He found himself staggering his words. He tried to keep mindful of his christian beliefs as well. He wanted to treat her with respect not with rudeness.

She stood, seemed to be waiting. Maybe for him to say something or maybe to think of something to say to him. She didn't want to tell him too much. She didn't want to tell him too little. She kinda liked him. He was...different. She looked into his eyes and then turned away. She wouldn't ask his name or tell him hers. She just liked standing there with him in company.

He touched her face and felt her soft skin. Even for a warrior she had the frality of a woman. Which David thought was a good thing. He has met many warrioress that try to be more like men. David looked at the sky and examined the position of the sun. He then looked back down at her and into her eyes. "I must go." he told her, "I will see you again." He then left the cemetary to take care of what he needed to do.

She softly slapped his hand away, her eyes narrowed. He was so forward and it made her uncomfortable. She watched him go, not sure if she was happy or sad. Disappointed or relieved. Don't touch me... She murmurred, hardly noticing that she had spoken. She realized that somehow, her hand had made it behind her back and she was gripping her sword so hard that her knuckles where white and her whole hand was aching. She eased her grip but kept her eyes on the man. She didn't trust him...she didn't trust him at all.
Seremela slowly turned and glanced down at Tathar's grave. Her cheeks flushed. She then turned, briskly, around and walked off into the distance.
