When Persephone had been young, she'd grown up in a small village. Like most kids there, she'd been taught how to ride horses, and she'd became quite acomplished at the task, though she couldn't ride as well as the people that made their living that way. But riding had always reminded her of home. She'd even brought her own horse with her when she'd came.
Persephone felt homesick that night. She desperately wanted something that reminded her of Witterlocke, and the only thing that she had brought with her that was likely to calm her was her horse. So she had headed down to the stables to be with her "baby".
"Darling, want to go for a ride?"
She asked the horse when she reached her. The horse snorted, and Persephone took that as a yes. So she led her horse out and put on it's tack and sadle. Then mounted and headed out wondering she'd meet anyone else out in the moonlight.

Laura's hair flew all over her face as Gaston, her horse, raced across the fields. The city had been overwhelming for her since she had grew up in a small village. That night, after her sister had fallen asleep, she had ran to the stables for a ride on Gaston. She already had missed him, altough it was only two days since she had last seen him. A fleeting movement in the corner of her eye made her slow Gaston down. It looked like she wasn't the only one who had decided to come ride under the moonlight.

As Persephone road on her horse, Sunfire, she thought she saw the moonlight reflect off of someone else, and as she rode closer still she heard hoof beats pounding on the hard ground. She wondered what someone else might being doing out at a time like this, but she figured she couldn't be the only one that just wanted to get away from the rest of world, and more importantly the crowd of the city that just kept pushing in on her.
As she gained more ground, she saw a woman sitting astride a horse, and frowned. She didn't want to cause any problems, and hoped the other wouldn't mind her company...at least for a little while.
She slowed Sunfire from his gallop down to a trot and then to a walk as she got even closer. She would at least talk to this other for a little while. It couldn't hurt do that much..as least she hoped so.
"Hail! I'm Persephone!"

She heard the hoof beats and steady vibrations on the grassy ground before they were even near enough to see the riders ahead, even though the moonlight was shining like a silver beam of brilliance in the night time air, slicing through the heavens like a candle in the darkness...unwavering. Saphira pulled Nathaniel gently to a halt. His silver hooves seemingly so light, it barely touched the ground. Saphira smiled very slightly, looking over the crest of the small hill. She had made a joke. Now that wasn't something that happened everyday. She had been riding Nathaniel dusk and into the night. "Its pleasant around here, isn't it Nat?" she whipered, the breeze playing across her face.

Laura stopped her horse fully now, happy that the other one was one to break silence. She didn't want problems and she knew that first moves can often bring you trouble. "Hey! I'm Laura," she said, smiling. She drove Gaston in her direction and took her time to study the woman. She had long silvery hair and green, captivating eyes. She saw the ancient secrets hiding beneath them, closely guarded and didn't linger. She was relatively short, although it was hard to guess because of the horse. She smiled at her in a friendly manner. "Nice horse," she observed. And indeed, it was. She considered a pure race, but couldn't be sure in the moonlight. Her fingers caressed Gaston in a mechanical way, touching lightly the golden neck. Gaston wasn't a pure race, but was beautiful nonetheless. His golden appearance is a undeniable plus and his brown eyes and powerful legs were something to be admired. "Is it a pure race?"

Saphira rode Nathaniel into a lazy canter, hands holding the silver reins loosely as they flew over the grassy verge towards the knot of riders in the near distance. Rider and horse were matched in appearance, personality and skill. Saphira smiled as they neared the Riders, who were now within earshot.
