Shadows(David)

[raven]

Raven moved through the shadows, she hummed softly, a dark melody of death and pain...She moved across the caves floor with an animals grace, the colors of some of the crystals that reflected in the light, moved across her face, making her look more dark than she already was...as impossible as that seemed.

The cave walls were dark but some light made it through and bounced off the crystals embedded in the walls. David...A name...and a face she couldn't get out of her mind, a pity yes but one she would have to live with...

[David Augustine]

David entered the cave reluctantly. He scratched the back of his head. He walked up to Raven. He wondered what she wanted from him after all it was her who called him here. "So what is it?" he asked her.

She glanced up a bit startled, she didn't think he would of ever came, "If I had stayed, would you of let me been there for you?" Her eyes reverted back to the crystals, her fingers traced over each one, untill one cut into her finger, she looked at the blood drip form her finger, mildly interested, she hadn't seen herself bleed in a long time, but the shadows soon mended her finger before another trip could surface.

[David Augustine]

"Why did you leave in the first place?" David asked her, "I don't remember asking you to leave." It was kind of a stupid question and David was ready for the stupid response in return. He knew she probably left because of the trouble that had been done. The fact was that he wasn't going to ask her to leave either way. He had invited her to stay as long as she wanted.

[raven]

"I figured you would want me gone from you're sight." She glanced up, her eyes weren't as cold as they usually were, "I may be in shadow's David, but I'm not one to steal people from their lovers, you never said you were close to anyone." For some reason this hurt her, she had let her guard down and this is what she got for it.

[David Augustine]

"We weren't lovers." David said with a sigh, "And I would have never made you leave my sight. I would've wanted you to stay. I just moved too fast with you. Avean's a very sensitive girl. I was watching out for her and I guess I was kinda acting like her older brother. She fell in love with me. I wasn't quite there yet. I cared for her, but I didn't love her." He looked at Raven hoping that she understood this.

[raven]

"And what of now? Do you love her?" She slid her fingers across the stones, he took something of hers...but she didn't expect anything in return, not this time...How could she of let someone get so close, so fast? She supposed...even she was capable of mistakes.

[David Augustine]

"I don't love her." David replied, "I just don't want her beating up on herself. She's taking it too hard and thinks it was all her fault. I just want to explain what had happened." He looked up at Raven. He knew he took something very important from her. He took away her purity. He could tell when they slept together.

[raven]

"And what am I suppose to mean to you?" She didn't need him to love her, at least she didn't think that. She slid her fingers through her hair, she wasn't incapable of love, she had been in love once but he died in a battle when she 17.

[David Augustine]

"You're closer than Avean." David replied honestly, "You are my opposite. I don't know what it was, but I felt drained of any darkness that might've been with me before that day. I felt purified after that. I took your purity away, I know that for a fact. That is why I can't cast you out of my house." He sighed and wondered if anything that he said made sense. It was all confusing but he didn't make anything up. This was all true. He knew that Raven didn't need the protection that Avean needed. He couldn't look to Raven has his sister. She was close to a girlfriend, but not exactly there.

He was right, she didn't need protection from anyway. She continued to trace the crystals with her fingers, her palm was getting cut up, but she didn't pay mind, the shadows hissed angrily at her for her careless behavior. She glanced up at him and replied steadily, "What would you have me do than David?" She closed her eyes, she didn't want to be forced to lose someone else that had gotten close to her...This must of been her weakness...

[David Augustine]

"I want you to live in my house as I offered and told you could." David replied simply. He walked up to her and grabbed her hand. He kissed her passionately. He then wrapped his arms around her and held her there. "You are the darkness that neutralizes my light. You are my fallen angel."

[raven]

She kissed him back with just as much passion, and slid her fingers across his cheek and whispered, "I will stay with you." She wrapped her arms around him, "My angel." She felt her heart do something it hadn't ever done before, it sort of fluttered, picking up it's pace but in a pleasant way.

[David Augustine]

"Do you think you could talk to Avean?" David asked her, "I think it would just be better if you talked to her. Since you are a female like her. You might be able to connect with her better than me." He held her in his arm and started to leave the cave.

[raven]

She walked out with him replied, "I'll do my best, she may not wish to talk with me." She glanced back at the cystals, they had caught her eyes, she would have to come back again soon. She slid her fingers through his as they walked.
