It was dark by the time the riders had arrived to the Citadel. It's foreboding towers striking dramatically against the moon, its extensive graveyards casting long shadows in the light.
The two entered the Citadel and proceeded through it's winding corridors. After much time they arrived in a section that looked too new and posh for such an old citadel.
"This will be your personal area, Penelope. You will find the Vampire Lady's old wardrobe in the bedchamber. The dresses are old and particular to her tastes, but they are in fine shape and of magnificent quality."
He showed her to the dining chamber. Then the organ chamber, and therough many other chambers, until they arrived finally back at the bed chamber.

"Nonsense. Myrya was an old and wise vampire. She stayed very in tune with fashion of mortals. Her wardrobe possesses its own chamber. She spent years collecting clothing, there's bound to be something you will like. She was very similar to you in body as well, I don't think there will be any problems with fit."
He gestured to the wardrobe chamber.
"Now go get something for yourself."

penelope entered the room. dresses of all kinds lined the room. she walked over to a pale blue dress, that revealed clevage, and hugged her tightly all around. she picked it up and walked over to the dressing area and slipped into it, tying the ribbon around her waist. she then stepped out to him: how do i look?

Viktor looked the young mage over.
"The dress befits a mage of your caliber. Many will come to fear the power you will gain here."

Viktor chuckled to himself. He had been taught the paltry ideas of chivalry and true manners when he was a paladin back in those wasted days. This girl wouldn't know that, but she was so ripe for corruption. She was taken with emotion, and that would be her downfall.
"Power will be your thing, young Penelope. We just need the time to get you there."
He looked at her again.
"You do that wardrobe more justice than that old vampire did."

"Now that you are my apprentice, I demand the best for you. I'll not have my protege act and be like some low commoner, you are now a noble in the truest sense."
Viktor crossed his arms and paced across the chamber to the vanity.

Viktor looked up at her blankly, for a moment, lost in thought. He looked back down at the vanity and picked up a large rubied necklace that lay there.
"Here, put this on."

penelope took the ruby necklace, placed it upon her chest, then turned around lifting her hair for him to clasp it on: it is beautiful

Viktor carefully hooked the clasp together.
"It once belonged to another apprentice of mine. One who was very important to me."

"She was my apprentice at a time when such things had value to me. She's been dead for a long time, it serves best not to dwell on it."
Viktor finished the clasp and stepped back, admiring.
