Name: Kathryn Louise Marcello
Siblings: Two Step Sisters
Family: Barron Robert Marcello (Father), Baroness Leona of Canterbury (Real mother, deceased), Baroness Isabella du Cronq (Step Mother), Anne Marcello (Step Sister((Middle Child)), Jane Marcello (Step sister((Youngest))
Age: 17
Weapons: Folded steel polearm (Fauchard style meaning strait edge blade with hook on end) with end spike. About 5’ 8’’ in height.
Also owns a folded steel archers sword (Shorter and lighter then average knights sword). Brass pommel with two horse heads holding the blade in place.
Appearance: Around 5’ 7’’ in height. Red haired and normally in a beautiful gown with a ratty hem. Crystal blue eyes and a fair build of not only beauty but strength as well.
Personality: Up for a fight is even in her best gown, ready to protect the helpless along with friends. Has learned to befriend people over time and is a hopeless romantic. Also enjoys to see large bodies of water so she can swim, boat, or just plain bathe
Likes: Poleams, a chance to fight, ripping her skirt to shreds, horses
Dislikes: Her family, being forced into any marriage, needle work
Background: If there was ever a woman who would seem less likely to take up sword against her enemies it is Kathryn Marcello. Her family’s “proper” ways and her own skill with the needle would make such a thing not only unnecessary but down right wrong. With a Barron for a father who would much rather watch a fight then partake in it himself and step-mother who taught her three daughters the art of being a wife Kathryn has always been the odd one out.
At the age of six her true mother had died and she found refuge in the stables. Barron Robert Marcello was much too busy finding a new woman to gain control of to notice Kate’s constant treks to what she called “The real world.” It was the place where normal people lived, where marriage wasn’t a thing of trading but of love and happiness, a place where a man and a woman where treated equal (or as close as she has ever seen it), the place she leaned to fight with not only sword, but polearm as well. By the time Kathryn was sixteen she was know to the commoners as the one who would save them all if the need ever came.
Kate’s stepmother eventually realized how often she went to the foot of the hills to “gather flowers” or “retrieve candles” for her lady lessons. Instantly she concluded that this meant that the out spoken girl was making love to someone bellow her status. It wasn’t long until she was planed to marry a Duke from the neighboring area. Only a week before her scheduled wedding did she disappear taking the best horse, a wardrobe of fine clothing, and a polearm with her.
