Well, there are several different types of characters.
You have the Death Gods(shinigami), who run around kill evil spirits with their soul slayers.
The Quincys, a clan that uses their spirit energy to maek bows and arrows to fight.
Bound(or Bounto), another human clan that lives forever by draining people's souls
Hollows, evil spirits that wear white masks.
Humans, just ordinary every day people some have special powers and others don't
Pluses, just your every day good spirit.
