Avean took a seat at a table and began rummaging through the runes scattered around her. Once finding what she desired she read with dignity, lost in the world her eyes had laid upon. After an hour of looking at the same scroll she became bored, feeling as though she had been in this exact spot for ages. She stood up and began rummaing through another stack.

Saphira placed the chalk down with care upon the ancient polished wooden floor. She had chanced upon this small but obscure corner as a perfet place for her darker studies. THe runes were all drawn with careful precision and skill upon the smooth polished floor. She stood up and brushed herself down. Then, in a quiet voice she began the incantation. "Permissum citatus exsisto held per rosemary quod yew Permissum everto exsisto accersitus continuo ex patria ove chos Ut suus vox meus fio in mei Quod mei unus evinco Duco suus substantia in myself ut incendia quod aer es insum Intus mihi tunc may suus vox quod veneficus spew continuo Vacuus virga vel veneficus lacuna Ut capistrum phasmatis intus mihi iam..." Until a footstep interrupted her. She hesistated...

Avean heard a murmur. She sat up and looked at the girl before her. If her ears did not deceve her the girl was trying to use an incantation. "Incantation?" she grumbled, setting a rune down in front of her.

She couldn't stop now...it didn't work that way, so she just chanted faster and faster, adding this and that as improvisation to the actual summon. So it was paused for around a moon before the effects set in. She hoped it worked. She had worked so hard for this moment, she couldn't possibly stop, hesistate or go back. In fact, going back wasn't an option. She finished the incantation and shuddered involuntarily as something both gaseous and firey sank into her mind like a sinking snow flake. It passed silently threw her mind's abyss, glowing and echoing in her head. She turned uncertainly around. "Yes." she said, her eyes glowing.

Avean chuckled at her simple incantation. "One does not use an incantation for their own selfish purpose." she said looking her over with deep disrespect.

Saphira glared at her. Her sardonic smile in place. "That depends on one's morals." she said scathingly. Somehow, she took a immediate dislike to this girl, like chords of a harmony that clashed that in a way that it did not even belong in a contemporary music.

"It seems the morals in your selfish incantation will benefit you only...I do not see any one else benefiting." she said, her gold eyes glaring deeply into the other girls eyes. All Avean saw was anger and a glare of light as a speck of hope.

Saphira glared at her coldly. "So? Who are you to tell me about morals?" she flicked her wrists to erase the pentacle. A wisp of black smoke still hung about the place. "WHy do you assume such thoughts?"

"I am to talk about morals for I am far wiser than you will ever dream, young one. An apprentice of your status will not go far with you attitude, I have learned from experience." she said, her voice lined with anger. No youngling has ever been so rude to her before.

"That's nice, isn't it?" she said with dangerous sweetness, and smirked. "But really-are you mistaking me for someone who cares about these things?" Rude, and as arrogant as always. She swept imperiously away.

"I must be.." she mumbled, turning back to her runes.
