After a waiting for a few days, he had finally been granted access to everything in the library. David had already looked through almost all of the other reference materials that were available for what he was looking for and found nothing. Looking through the shelves, he stopped and pulled out a book. He then brought it over to a table nearby. He took out the map that he had found inside the weaponry room of his house. The map had markings on it that meant something. They were obviously locations, but the map was old and didn't match up with the current information. The markings on the map were not as old as the map itself though. He had nearby a more modern map to compare. He sat down and started skimming through the book. After a few minutes, he slammed it closed. He rubbed his eyes and ran his hands through his hair. It had been at this for several hours.

Avean had been wanting to take another trip to the library for a while. Her hopes up she entered the library and took a seat at a near by table. "Lets see.." she mumbled, searching through a stack of pre arranged elemental books. "No...no...no." she said as she flipped through a book called 'elemental magic for dummies'.

After rubbing his face and letting out a yawn, he got back up with the book and placed it back on the shelf. He then started searching again and pulled out a rather tattered looking one. He continued looking and pulled out several others as well. He then carried the pile of books and let them fall onto the table. He piled them in no particular order. He took the top one off the nearest pile and started skimming through it. It was aggitating. This map was of some importance to him and he was sure that there had to be something to it.

Avean threw the book aside after finding it of no use. Then she persued another entitled 'The Elements'. After a few pages she threw it aside, literally, spilling scrolls onto the floor. "Crap." she said as she gathered the scrolls in her arms, looking at one in particular. "Wait a second." she muttered, setting them down and holding one. She opened it up and began to read.

Nearly falling asleep, David snapped back awake when he heard a familiar voice. He got up from where he was and followed it to it's source. He saw Avean standing there looking into a scroll. He approached her quietly and looked over her shoulder. "What are you reading?" he asked her.

Avean jumped as she heard someone talk to her. "Oh." she said, laying her hand on her cheast as she turned. "It's just you...thought you were-" she said stopping ubrubtly. Avean didn't even want to start on that subject. "Uh...this...I'm not sure because it is written in another language." she said, showing him the text.

"I've seen this text before." David told her, "Follow me." He then led her to the table he was researching at took one of the books from one of the piles he had already went through. "This should provide the translation of that scroll." he suggested to her as he handed over the book, "And who did you think I was?"

Avean followed him, taking the book in her hands. She flipped through it, a smile growing on her face. She sat down and began to translate when he asked the question she dreaded. "No one." she said, a faint trace of fear in her voice.

"You can tell me, Avean." he replied. He sat down in the same chair and started looking through books again. He continued trying to figure this map out. Nothing seemed right. These were all part of a puzzle, but how big it was he wasn't sure of.

"No...no I can't." she said with a sigh, trying again and again to find a word in the book. Translation wasn't the easiest...

"You can tell me." he replied again, "Your secret will be safe with me." He tried to pursade her again. He closed the book and opened up another. He then pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill with an ink bottle. He pulled another book from the stack and started skimming. This time he found some information that he thought would be useful. He took down notes and turned pages.

"It's not the matter of I don't trust you.." she said, looking up at him momentarily. "It's I could get killed for telling." she mumbled, looking back down.

"As a knight bound to the code of chivalry, I will protect you." he said these words and looked up at Avean, "What it is that is bothering you?"

"I-" she began, looking up at him. "It's hard to explain." Avean sighed, running her hands through her hair.

"Take your time." he replied, "I'm going to be here for a while." He smiled at her and then continued skimming and taking notes. The sound of his quill scribbling on the parchment could be heard.
