Emma entered the Academy and wandered the hallways looking for a empty room that she could use. She eventually found one and as she walked into that one she wondered what spells she could use. She thought for a moment and then she waved her hand at a book across the room. The book fell to the ground instead of flying into Emma's hands. Emma concentrated as hard as she could and she waved her hand again. A different book shot across the room into Emma's hands. Emma thought that because the book was going extremely fast that she would not catch it, but amazingly enough it fell softly into Emma's hands. "Wow" Emma murmured.

Shanice started clapping when the book arrived in the girl's hand. She smiled in a friendly manner and nodded her head in a polite hello. "Very good! Wow, you're doing great! I'm Shanice, by the way," she said, and curtsied. She had gotten lost in the academy's many rooms and corridors, and finally had ended up in an empty room. While she was sitting and looking around, recovering from the long walk, a girl entered in. She had followed her progress with great interest and had clapped in amazement. She hadn't seen magic in so much time...

Emma was so suprised by the girl's presense that she dropped the book. "Oh hello" Emma said as she picked up the dropped book. "I didn't see you. Would you like to use this room?"Emma smiled at this girl. She seemed nice to Emma.

As he wandered the halls of the Academy, Rith was taking in the environment, overjoyed that there was such a place where people like him could come and hone their skills. He jumped startled when he heard the bang of a book hitting the floor. Confused, he tracked down the source of where he heard the book fall and poked his head in the room. "Everyone alright in here?" He asked as he scanned the room finding a pair of mages.

Marim walked into the Academy of Magic for the first time. He looked around and saw its glory. There was a magic hidden inside each and every single wall. He wanted to try out something he had been teaching himself. He decided to use an empty room. He walked into a room he supposed was empty. But the room wasn't quite empty. There were three other people there who he supposed were fellow mages. The 19 year old walked towards them and said,"Ah, practicing are you? By the way I'm Marim Mazmo of the Morytanians."

Emma watched as the two new people arrived. "Oh, hello. I'm Emma West." Emma said shaking their hands. Emma looked at the books across the room. "Well I better get back to practising" She said. She thought extremly hard and then a book lifted from the bookshelf. Emma pointed her finger above Marim and the book flew right above him. She pointed down and the book landed on his head and then fell to the ground. Emma smiled as she said "Joking".

Rith stepped further into the room, try as he might, he was unable to stilfe laugher seeing Emma drop the book on Marim. The laughter quickly subsided and he turned back to Emma, giving her a bow. " I am Rith Matou, a pleasure to meet you, Emma." he said to her with a smile.

Emma smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you too." Emma smiled again as she picked up the fallen book for the second time. "How about you do some magic? I love magic. It's amazing."

"I fail to see why not. After all, it is what we are here for." Rith replied with a smile. Tossing his cloak over his shoulers revealing his body, Rith delved into a small, leather pouch at his belt. Retrieving a Puffer, a small white object remeniscent of a small wad of cotton, Rith held it open in his hands. Concentrating on a decided image in his mind for a few moments, his eyes shot open and the Puffer erupted in a cloud of smoke with a loud popping noise. As the smoke cleared in the place of the Puffer was instead a little Grey Hare accompanied by Rith saying " And I did not even need to pull it out of a hat."

Emma smiled. "Well it was nice to meet you" Emma waved her hand and a book appeared. She waved her hand again and the book flew up and sat on the bookshelf.

"Making books fly are we? How interesting." The voice was sarcastic and drawling but also,m in its own way, mild and very...different. Saphira studied rarely around the acedemy but in her ancestorial home, Siparti Manor, a huge 200 acre estate on the outskirts of Avaren. She floated with abnormal elegance form the top shelf, landing daintily on the polished wooden floor. She tossed her raven hair over her shoulders in a regal fashoin, revealing her pointed ears, surveying hte people in front of her. "Flashy magic." she said eyebrows slightly raised, looking at the boy. "And I mean that in the loosest sense of meaning." she waved one hand to clear the remaining strands of dark smoke. "Really. Hares? I think that strand of magic was made to entertain commoners, don't you?"

Rith turned around slowly to face the sharp-tounged, elitist, wench who, for no tangible reason, felt it necessary to mock the mystical stylings of everyone in the room. The once light-hearted look upon his face turned quickly into that of a piercing cold glare. "...If you insult the style of Animism then you are disrespecting myself and our mother Earth itself. Something that I cannot allow." he stated in a tone that felt as if he could have decimated the half of the room she was standing on.
Intolerance, superiority complex, and an ego the size of the academy itself, she seemed to bear every peeve that Rith could not stand. He stepped closer to this poor excuse for a Mage as he said "Now, if I was dealing with one with so much as a shred of integrity, I would demand an apology. Since this clearly is not the case, there leaves the matter of how to teach you such respect..." He said in the same annoyed tone, shortly after his train of speech broke he dismissed his Hare and added " ...but that would be like Splitting 'Hares'." not even certain if one such as her would even get the joke.

Emma clenched her teeth tightly at what Saphira said. Emma hated Saphira so much she could do what she did to the man called Gill. Fire was already coming from her hand which was behind her back. "Well, there is no other spells we can think of because the only resourse in here are the books" Emma said this as she made all the fallen books go back to their places on the bookshelf with her hand that didn't have fire coming from it. Luckily Emma could do spells with both her hands.

Saphira smirked vampirishly. (ooc: dont take anything personally will you? my char is SUPPOSED to be very young, naive, confident, stuck up, etc etc etc etc. It will improve later on. Dont take offence.) And lept lightly to float a few feet off the ground. She had no idea why, but she felt more comfortable in the air, afloat, rather than on the ground, if she could help it. "Ha ha," she said, imitating a posh tone of an actress, "Halarious. Your humor is undying." Sarcasm was laced in her voice, so that, not even one as stupid as a doornail could miss her scorn. In all truth, she had no idea why She herself liked doing this. Conversations with her rarely included compliments, and she felt some content at criticising others. Weather it was because of her talent or her age, most likely both, Saphira hadn't bothered to changed her social skills and tactics. "So no. Obviously not. Well then. What is this brand of magic good for?" she had to ask. It was her nature. A cold, probing curiousity.

(I'm not taking anything personally, my character is merely acting this way because you insulted the forces of Nature's bounty. Something he takes to heart very dearly.)
"What it is good for?" Rith asked with an annoyed undertone a she walked up to her. "Imagine if you will, the strength of an Elephant, the dexterity of a Monkey, the eyes of a Hawk, the speed of a Cheetah, and the cunning of a Fox all inside this object. The power of Nature is my ally, and a powerful ally it is!" As he spoke he tossed his Puffer into the air, where it exploded in a loud "BAMPF!". When the smoke cleared a large, majestic Griffin stood tall beside him and let out a powerful, shrieking boom. "...And don't you ever forget that!"
