New King

Regrettably, our current king has decided to move away from the site to continue on with other sites he deems of more importance.

As such, we shall be looking into getting a replacement king who is willing to take on the burden of partial site management, which basically only really requires switching member positions according to their wishes and the skill tree.

Any replacement would have to be someone who actually intends to stick with the site and help to make is prosper and grow even greater than it already is.

Of course, there will be requirements to become king, which will include providing samples of your RP-ing in addition to a general show of trust from other members of the site, as in, nominations from other members.

The only parting message from Ricard was that he nominates the RP-er who plays Viktor as a possible successor to the throne.

I nominate the person who RPs as Gilsworthy. He is on often enough, he shows skill at RPing, and he is a good obeyer of the rules.

I couldhandle the responsibilties of that position. It's just simple adminitrivia. I would still play Viktor however.

I love the site, but i'm not sure I would do the admin thing all that well. If the need arises I will, but the man behind Viktor sounds as if he wants it more. I'm all for him!

Plus, he could have complicity in his own plot. We need a site-wide plot to keep people interested in the site, I think, maybe we can get that going in the interim. Assuming that our original King will return sometime in the future, that is.

See, the only problem I have with Viktor being king is it seems like being in america at WW2 and sending a letter to hitler asking him if he will control all of the US's military and defensive systems. Okay, I exaggerate a bit, but do you get the picture?

You know as someone who is on everyday checking things out. I don't see that much activity from neither Gil or Viktor. I mean sure they are both great rpers, but we need someone who's going to be at least once everyday and be on long enough to take care of some business. I'm not saying that the so far two nominees can't handle the position. I'm just stating my opinion from my point of view.

Here here! I totally agree. I think the person should be one alot. Like, if two people wanted to be 'King'. THey're pretty much the same. As in, 50 50 in rp and online-status. But one is slightly a better role player. The other is slightly worse. But is on quite alot. I would choose the 'on quite alot' guy.
Mind you, I think a queen might change the flavour of the plotline. And who says the ladies on this site aren't better than the gentlemen?

I have noticed that there are some girls on quite a lot. Oh, let's see. Kelwindre Shadowheart, but she's new. Saphira Siparti, but I haven't seen her around recently, considering that she's a mage and I'm a warrior. Anyways, I personally think a queen would be cool, in which case I am, of course, totally prejudiced.

Umm.... does WOW work? Thanks for the vote of confidence there, David! It is true, I'm on almost every day. Times vary, but I'm almost always on for at least fifteen minutes, more often half an hour to an hour and a half. As for the RPing, others would have to verify that. David is also on almost every day, and he also has good RPing skills. He would work too.

Actually, replacing the king doesn't mean your character becomes king. This is getting to be one big backslapping contest, so I thought we should point out that replacing the king means using the admin account through ricard to get the admin work done. It's not a daily job, but still one that needs to be done frequently.

Actually, Ricard isn't the admin account. While it has been promoted to admin status, it can't modify the forum or anything. The person who works through Ricard's account would really only be handling the stuff that the king Ricard would deal with in his kingdom, like controling armies or giving promotions or having feasts.
