For Knowledge Truly is Power For a Mage

Sat down at a somewhat large table, Rith was looking over a large books with several others of comparable size to it at either side of him. Slowly sliding his finger across the page and faint movements coming from lips as he read the text, making mental notes of the more interesting and important parts of the book.

After a while of this, Rith leaned back in his chair stretching and rubbing his eyes gently. Taking a look out the window as he scanned around the room, he had noticed how considerably later it was since when he started this little expedition for knowlege of his. Regardless, taking a short break, Rith went right back at to hitting the books.

Avean walked in, in search of a rune. Her eyes searched about the library when it landed on a young mage. She walked up to him and smiled warmly, remembering what it was like to be new to magery.
"Why hello." she said in a cheery tone.

"Hatcha-WOAH!" Rith exclaimed startled at this person who snuck up on him as it were and slipped out from his chair. Being knee-deep in one's studies tends to turn their senses off to small things such as footsteps. Rubbing the back of his head, Rith looked up to her and returned her smile with one of his own as he rose back to his feet. " Please excuse me..." he said "...I've been at my research for many hours, I suppose I just got use to the silence too much." laughing at himself.

Avean chuckled, bowing her head slightly. "One can get lost in a book, for they have their own minds to take you from reality." she said, taking a seat and looking at the book he was reading.
"Why you can't learn magery from a book." she exclaimed, looking back up at him.

Sitting back down Rith replied " Oh you misunderstand. I am not exactly researching magic. All these books are of animal biology both mystical and non. See, if I wish to be a Summoner even half the calibur of my Master, then I wish to understand the Animal Kingdom as best I can." Closing the book and looking back to her. "Though a break couldn't kill me, I suppose." he added with a smile, finding this a good oppurtunity to get to know somebody new.

She smiled. "Good because if you were relying on books to educate yourself I would have to smack you." she said with a grin on her lips. "So a summoner? Well that is a very aspiring subject to go into...for I, I am Elemental Mastery."
Avean watched him with intensity, for magery was a subject she praised highly.

[Rith Matou]

"Ah, a field I can respect as well. I bid you luck in your goals Miss...I don't believe I've caught your name yet." He replied looking to her with an intruiged smile. Extending his hand out to her he continued " Where are my manners? I am Rith Matou, always a pleasure to meet a fellow Mage."

[Avean Luxenbourg]

"Avean." she said shaking his hand eagerly. "I find it a pleasure to meet such an inspirational mage such as yourself." she said bowing her head again. "So are you new here?"
Avean tilted her head in question, watching him still.

[Rith Matou]

"Inspirational you say? Well, I don't know about that." He replied with a chuckle, blushing slightly from her remark. Regaining his composure after a moment or two, he continued " Oh, and to answer your question: Yes, I am indeed new here." There was something to this woman, a happening of sorts. Perhaps it was just the fact he hadn't been around that many people in the past, but something couldn't help but stand out to him from her. It was most interesting to say the least.

Avean chuckled. "Trust me I have seen my share of mages and you seem to be the most interesting from the bunch." she said shaking her head slightly. "But of course I knew you were new for I know everyone around here and you I have neer seen till now."
Avean brushed her long chesnut hair from her face. "Do you enjoy it here?"

"Thank you for the compliment, first off. As for this place, it's nothing like the wide-open spaces of course, but Avaren has its own charms to it." He replied to her idly strumming his fingers over the cover of the book as he spoke to her.

Avean nodded in a agreement. "Avaren is a simple place with only people who suffer upon their own anger." she said, reminding herself of Nerull and Viktor. Avean continued to smile although it wavered. "I actually appreciate the subtlties of Avaren..have you note them?"
Avean felt as though she was asking too many questions but how was she suppose to get to know someone without giving an effort.

"Can't say as I have Avean, I've more or less haven't gotten entirely used to the towns and villages as a whole yet. I know how odd that must sound." He replied accompanied with a shake of the head.

[Avean Luxenbourg]

"Now you don't sound foolish, all you need is a...tourguide." she said with an uncertain laugh and a cheery grin.

"Well, if you're offering, then how could I refuse? It sounds like fun." He replied with a nod and a growing smile. Out of habit, he clutched a small leather pouch at his belt idley as he looked to her.
