Raven looked up and smiled at David, "Sure, it doesn't look like I'm going to get out of the mountains by darkness." She walked in and kissed him softly, "Though I hope I'm not being a bother."

David kissed her back in response and held her close. "No, you're not being a bother at all." he told Raven. He walked back deeper within the cave where the meat was cooking. It was almost done and he himself was getting hungry.

She went along with him, looking around. She sat down by the fire, she felt warmer already...She looked up at David, watching him...

"It's nice to see you again." David told her, "It's been sometime. Is there anything you need?" He put his arm around her and watched as the deer cooked over the fire.

She leaned into him and slid her fingers over his fingers, there was nothing she ever really needed, only more power and more darkness, "No only to be with you." She smiled a bit, watching the fire.

David nodded softly as he held her in his arms. He glanced away from the fire and looked deeper into the cave where the warm air was coming from. He stared into only for a while and then glanced back at the cooking meat. It would be done within a few minutes.

She leaned into him and closed her eyes and sighed softly, she didn't feel as powerful as she had once been but the dark city had to hold answers for her.

"You don't feel the same as you used to do you." he said as he held her close. There wasn't much that he couldn't do for her. He had noticed that her appearance slightly changed as well. She wasn't as dark looking as she once was.

She looked up at ho, and smiled a bit, "Sure." She went in and sat by the fire. There was a power in the the red flames...one she hoped to have one day...and she would...The dark city would give her what she wanted. She glanecd up at David and smiled a bit, the man her heart, body, and part of her soul belonged to...

David watched her go over to the fire. He smiled and then got up from where he sat and took the meat off. It was finished. He grabbed a stone slab that he had cleaned earlier and set the cooked meat on it. He then carved some pieces from it. He slowly took a bite and started eating. He swallowed and smiled with satisfaction. "Do you want some?" he asked her.

She nodded, "Of course." She had her knees drawn up to her stomach and her legs stretched out behind her in an elquent sitting position. She watched the snow outside fall harder, she had always enjoyed winter...and for a moment the shadows left her and her eyes reflected the snow...the change had been quite sudden and startling but just as soon as it had happened...they had returned.

David reached for his pack and pulled out a wooden plate and a knife for her to use. He carved some meat and slid some onto it. He then passed the food to her. He then bowed his head and closed his eyes. He prayed over the food and thanked God for it. He then started eat the meat as he cut slices off. He paused for a moment and pulled some bread from the same pack. "Would you like some bread?" he said as he held a loaf infront of him. He glanced over into the depths of the cave for a moment and then switched his gaze to Raven again.

"I'm...fine." She paled slightly at feeling the sudden absence of the shadows within her. For a moment she had been nothing more than a girl, without the protection of the shadows about her...She ate silently, hoping the change hadn't been at all noticable...After eating, she kept the darkness about her, the shadows latched out about her, angry...mostly at her.

David nodded softly. He broke a piece of the loaf off and ate it. He was content for right now. He looked outside and then back at Raven. "Looks like you are going to have to stay here until it stops snowing." he said. He noticed it when the shadows seemed to leave her for that moment. He stored the bread away and kept the meat by the fire.
He thought about her problem. She needed that darkness, but for some reason it seemed to evaporate. It was as if the darkness was growing weak. As if it needed to be fed. He drew his sword and examined out it emitted light on one side and shadow on the other. "Maybe..." he muttered. He looked up at Raven. "Touch the shadow part of this blade." he told her, "It might help you. And when we go back home, I suggest that you browse the library in my house and probably the king's library as well. You might find something of use there." He then waited for what was to happen next.

She sighed and leaned against the wall, her weakness was evident and she hated herself for showing it, but the darkness did as it pleased and she somehow managed to anger it...She glanced toward David and listens to what he has to say...It looked like she wouldn't make it to the dark city..in this state could she have made it?
She moved foward and reached out slowly touched the shadowed part of his sword, her shadows were sucked into the sword and then burst out, settling back around her, moving slowly and more normally than they had, calmed once more for the time being. She took a breath, the part of her that meant the most was restored for the time being. The shadows creeped along the ground for a short distant before retracting and doing it again, as it was breathing...
"I suppose it would be best...If I did...seek out more power for the shadows..."
